2024/25 David Moyes

I think next year, he will have his chance to prove everyone wrong. He needs to become a manager that can consistently win games. I was impressed with the Newcastle game. We were sturdy in the back without Branthwaite away from home, and we still offered attacking threat. I actually think Moyes is one of the better managers tactically. In terms of ambition and his preference with players, I question that. We cannot go on another "Moyes drought" and expect to compete.
100% this. Maybe there was a change in ambition with his comments after the last game at Goodison, not sure tbh. I guess we find out next season.

The only way to look at this is as follows:

Either Dyche or Moyes would have saved us from relegation this season. No question about that.

The upside to doing it with Dyche in charge would have been that we'd have made a clean break today with Dyche and be in the process of getting in the quality manager we need. Instead, we're now stuck with the ambitionless, expectation-managing Moyes for years.

You didn’t think that in January when you wanted him sacked for Gareth Southgate to save us.

We have to act boldly.

And get Gareth Southgate
