I said it before, but I think Ben Doak is Jack Harrison Jr. He's a very similar player, i.e., undersized, hardworking, keeps making certain people think there's something there, but probably will never be worth the investment. He's faster than Harrison, but not as strong and weaker in every aspect, and it's a massive gamble to think he'll turn into something more and thrive in the Premier League because he's fast.

I actually would probably hope we splash out on a record transfer for central midfield. It’s been a long time since we had a superstar midfielder who can be the general.

Need a proper centre midfielder don’t we. Anyone coming in as well will hopefully have 12 months learning from Gana - last few times we’ve seen glimpses of Tim he’s looked more effective in the tackle, Garner as well seems to have upped his game.

I think Gana might genuinely be one of our most underrated players in the last 20 years. He does everything Kante does off the ball, just didn’t quite have the class with it.

Superb player.
 

The 2025 summer transfer window opens on Sunday, June 1, for clubs participating in the FIFA Club World Cup, including Chelsea and Manchester City. This early window runs until Tuesday, June 10, allowing these clubs to register new signings ahead of the tournament.

The main transfer window for the Premier League and EFL then reopens on Monday, June 16, and remains open until Monday, September 1, closing at 7:00 PM BST.

Other major European leagues have their transfer windows opening on Tuesday, July 1, and closing on Monday, September 1, with the exception of Ligue 1, which has an early window from Sunday, June 1, to Tuesday, June 10, due to the Club World Cup.
 

I love a window that slams open, shut, open, and then shut again.

(Not that any of that alters how good he might be as a signing, which is the whole point. I hate myself sometimes)
