To be fair to Jake here I think what he is saying is that he is not condoning the actions of the idiot who posted the threats but that when you or one of your loved ones are in the public eye it is probably best not to engage in social media to comment on any aspects of your loved one’s career or position as you are leaving yourself open to these idiots.
Not saying it’s right but just the sad way of the world we live in.

Well he sent it in response to the discussion around that post. We can see this clearly from Dom's missus' post.

From this we can see someone took offence to the post and made a tweet calling her a helmet. Some other melt saw that tweet and decided to send her those nasty messages. You don't need to be Sherlock Holmes to determine this was prompted by her post and what she chose to write, it's all laid out here clearly what's happened.

So no it doesn't appear as if someone just woke up and decided to send those messages unprompted.

They saw someone's angry interpretation of what she had posted and then decided to act a nobhead in her messages.

Because theyre man-children with so little confidence in themselves they feel attacked by everything, including this. Im an Everton supporter too, yet I didnt take offense at Doms dads statements, nor his girls. Did you? Im going to assume you didnt, so how is this the context for such violent outbursts? Its not. It's unfortunate but these mutants are out there.

The second you engage and allow messages this possibility is going to exist. All we can do is refer it to the police to prosecute and hopefully severe punishment by the courts will deter any others from trying it in the future.

I didn't take offence neither but the fact is they've previously had a go at fans and so I'm not surprised that people are reacting based of of the interpretation they want to believe rather than the face value of it.

This is akin to saying a man rapes someone because he thought their skirt was inviting.

It's total nonsense. Nothing in her post initiated him threatening to murder a woman and her baby. Nothing. To suggest otherwise is to minimise the behaviour.

He did it, because he thinks it's acceptable to send violent threats to women and children. It's that simple. You should stop apologising for the behaviour.
