New Everton Stadium

have you Nick Knowles on site or something?

Got the boys in, local community all chipped in. I just gave them a sob story that our old landlord spunked 500m and was skint so couldn't finish it and that our new landlord was stuck in Texas and couldn't make it over until August.

Nick and his crew were more than happy to come in and finish the job off.

Hill Dickinson??
Why not John Player Special? With an all black and gold away kit. Now that's cool.

I don't like these naming rights. Look at Arsenal, with their 'Emirates'. They'll call it the Emirates years after the naming rights are gone.

If they have identified issues be they aesthetic and/or works-related, which need/want improving, then fair enough.

I have no idea whatsoever how long a full fit-out would take for a development of this size but it seems it's barely if at all started so at least they are not re-doing large elements of it.

If we need to wait until September for the first game it's not an issue but surely if it went beyond that, a lot of questions would arise.

First three games will be away. This will then take us to an international break. First game in the new stadium will be mid to late September. Hospitality/dinning sections still need a lot of work. Also still trying to sort an access road through the UU site next door for the owners/big wigs in corporate to get into and out of the stadium quickly.

the Coral (Bill’s ex band)

the Coral may not be quite as seminal as the La’s but shedloads of platinum and gold albums.

I thought Bill and his band were great yesterday

His solo albums are all fantastic too. A star in his own right who has gone way beyond being ‘an ex-member of the Coral. And he’s produced Michael Head’s last couple of albums. Top choice for yesterday and I agree, he was great. He could have done without the totally out of sync fireworks going off during In My Life.
PS Always thanks his mate Leighton Baines in his sleeve notes

Those fireworks were hilarious from the upper gwladys. Obviously we couldn't see anything, just smoke shadows after the pops
