Gary is by all accounts a good guy with his heart in the right place but his latest output and use of the R word betrays a lack of research and even naivety. He should probably stick to football, about which I assume he knows a lot.

To me the best of the ex-footballers that fronted, or even summarised, TV football. Given the dross we are left with he will be sorely missed. NB Couldn't give a xxxx about his social media posts.
I wondered when he joined us he ran with his head down a lot looking for £1 coins no doubts ....

Richer now than ever he should have just made comments about football - hes had a few warnings too .....

…I like him, some transition from top class footballer to a top tv presenter. Very talented.

Too smug. CBA about his comments but when I think about his time with us I could cry. We won the league the year before he arrived, nothing while he was with us; even with all his goals. Oh I tell a lie, we won the Charity Shield having been beaten by the RS to both the league and FA cup. Having left for the glory of Barcelona we then won the league again. There’s no doubt he was a great player and he was a good pundit, but he was one smug man……

He was a great player & should have concentrated on his football job - I always state football & politics don't mix - everyone has strong views even if you agree with him as most do it's not his job !

NYU pauses diploma of anti-Israel student who blasted Gaza war as 'genocide' during graduation speech:

A New York University (NYU) student who slammed Israel’s war in Gaza during a graduation speech has had his diploma suspended.

Logan Rozos drew a sharp rebuke from the university after repeatedly referring to Israel’s actions in Gaza as a "genocide" that was being perpetrated with the support of the United States.

He was not speaking he was publishing tweets..nothing to do with his subject breaking his employers rules after previous warnings as any employee would get !

"Their (The BBC) guidelines clearly state that flagship presenters must not share their own views on contentious political matters. Lineker helped them write those very guidelines"
