Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Morning all, well what can you say about yesterday it was very emotional but also very much a happy celebration. We got to the ground at about half nine and had some time in the fanzone, moved out onto the street and got ourselves a good spec only to be told that the route had changed due to the amount of people. That was a really sensible decision as Goodison Road was rammed and potentially dangerous. So we abandoned the idea of welcoming the coach and it must have taken us half an hour to walk round to the upper g entrance. Thoroughly enjoyed the game and the celebrations and went into town after for a few drinks.
Definitely a good send off for our grand old lady 💙
See you later at the AGM 💙

Thank you, enjoy the AGM, hope you all have a great time. Can’t wait to hear all about it. Meeting @Barnfred 55 and hopefully @anjelikaferret for a quick coffee on the way to the station, hope Fred won’t be too traumatised by the shock of seeing me in person😂
Well at least I'm awake H so I have a chance of meeting the 9am deadline.😀 And I could certainly do with a coffee. Preferably black.😀

Terrible news. On their way to see us this afternoon @anjelikaferrett and @Barnfred 55 were involved in a serious road traffic accident just north of Bootle. From what I can gather both are ok although likely to have suffered whiplash and other injuries. The same can't be said for Anje's car unfortunately.

Desperately hope that they are both ok.

Met up with Val and her husband Garry and had a lovely afternoon although obviously we were all very concerned about our friends.

Just heard from Anj. She's on her way home in a recovery vehicle and says she's fine physically. We were both a bit shook up and I'm expecting a few aches and pains tomorrow but at the moment I feel OK. Luckily we were stationary when it happened, a work lorry slammed into the back of us and shunted us into a transport truck. The front end of the car pretty much caved in. The lorry driver thought he saw air bags (which didn't deploy) but it was where Anj's white bonnet had concertina'd up. The other guy has accepted full responsibility for it and I think was more relieved that we were both OK. It was very scary.

Anyway I've exchanged a couple of jokey messages with Anj and she seems in decent spirits so don't worry too much about us guys.

I am a little concerned about the train journey home tomorrow as I've bought a shed load of stuff from the Asian supermarket and my case is twice as heavy than it was before. 😀

So pleased that the two of you are more or less "ok"

Awful to read that. Hopefully both are OK.
