Everything has been positive about them so far (Let's disregard their faux pas over the new stadium naming for the time being), anything negative about our club is from the previous owners, we should give them plenty of time, this summer is huge for them and they have to deliver.
We know how impatient (rightly!) our fanbase is. Their big test is if things don't improve on the pitch, another 2-3 years of what we've suffered over recent years and it will be them who inevitably get the blame - that is what we do and how will they cope with that criticism? I can see some of their 'feel good' actions like retaining Goodison for the women may well get reversed, particularly if attendances don't rise much (use it or lose it!) - just look at the cutbacks Ratcliffe is doing at commercial powerhouse Utd, much of it petty and vindictive to be fair. It will be naive to believe that this American group will continue pumping funds into unprofitable parts of the business with no progress on the pitch from their investment.
Anyway, good luck to TFG, they will need it. Goodbye Goodison (I will make the effort to see the ladies when I can). After tomorrow another huge chapter in our history begins, perhaps as big as 1892...COYB!!
