Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Better than DCL, Borja & Beto for starters, would want to prove himself, & we may be able to negotiate a reasonable loan fee so we can afford to buy some players instead of extending contracts on players who have demonstrated that they aren’t good enough.

Having said that developing strikers is not one of Moyes strengths.
Not hard to be better than that lot. He's still rubbish. Personally for once I think we should be aiming higher than failed Man Utd players.

There has been a lot of us including @GrandOldTeam who have been left confused as to whom will be doing the scouting and recruiting this summer. This latest piece whilst informative and well written, has still frazzled my brain and left me even more confused than I was before! Far too many Cooks surely??

Moyes is back, so recruitment has reverted to his old favourite.

That is the problem with the new set up this soon for next season, but feel going forward should be alot better imo as hopefully will all be going in the same direction. Having a fixed identity, style players wanted ect. I kno is early days with it but would also be good to make sure have a system in there for new managers aswell not only just players so that everything is covered

Surely Thelwell and Purdy will be leaving Kinnear and Hammond a Moyes vetted recruitment list that they can start executing on even if Thelwell and Purdy won’t be around any longer?
Yeah at this point with the season winding down the analysis and the scouting should more or less be done and the lists in place, there’s not much you’re going to uncover with a handful of games remaining.

It's not a popular opinion but I agree that he could become a decent striker.

He is desperately short of confidence but in Serie A showed fantastic promise for his age.
I agree, I think there is a player in there, but to lead the line at United, especially the state they are in right now, was too much too soon for him

Seen some links to Colombian CB Davison Sanchez, currently at Galatasary, still only 28, thought to be available for £16m, could be fine as a 4th choice CB, an upgrade on Keane anyway. We have been linked with him in the past, before he went to Spurs and when he left Spurs to go to Galatasary
