He's statistically a worse crosser of the ball than Jack Harrison, Vitali Mykolenko and Jesper Lindstrøm. The only wing he should be near is the ones on the aeroplane back to Glasgow.

Has a better passing accuracy than all of them (and Young) this season. Also has more shot creating actions per 90 than Young and Mykolenko.

Crossing accuracy this season:

Patterson - 38%
Harrison - 25%
Lindstrom - 24%
Myko - 31%
Young - 19% 😮

Try harder.

What's your obsession with Ashley Young?

Was just an appropriate comparison because they have been playing the same position.

Young was doing ok earlier in the season for a 39 year old. He isn’t the answer though.
If you're taking my post as being "the question" then I'm not sure where/why you saw Ashley Young in the equation, I never mentioned him?

….given his post-match comments yesterday about ‘finding out about players’, I wonder if we’ll see Patterson again next weekend or whether Moyes has now seen enough and will go for the safer option of Young for the remainder of the season.

Team selection next week will again be informative.
First start in how many month/years, up against one of their inform players who happens to be right cheating snide, Patterson deserves another start for me anyway.

I may not agree but always respect a poster backing a player against everyone else.

Would like to see Patterson come good and always like a good Scottish player in the team. I feel every time he has an opportunity to make a claim for RB he fails to take it though.

I agree mate. And he was disappointing vs Chelsea. I’ve made my case about what I think about him. I don’t think he will be our right back next season which is a shame for him and us that it hasn’t worked.

Just think the grief he gets from a select few is overboard and goes beyond just footballing ability with some of the rhetoric used against him. They have used all sorts of insulting language about him previously and it becomes almost personal towards him. They don’t do the same against other disappointing/failing players.

The only thing that's overboard is the defence of a player who was never good enough. It's you and others like you who make this thread the pantomime that it is. You were wrong about Patterson and the people who never rated him were right yet you still throw around the "rhetoric" and "agenda" to try to discredit people who are quite simply a better judge of a footballer than you ever were. Hopefully one day you will have the humility to admit that to yourself.
