2024/25 Michael Keane

He must feel embarrassed collecting that.

He's the biggest example that the game has gone to hell in a hand basket.

He has the decency at least not to cost too much in amortisation

Gomes was costing us £12 mill a year when he was here, Mina close to £14 mill, i think one season both played less then 10 games for us combined. Iwobi wasn't far behind his cost was very high.

Exactly and yet they will still be expected to do their job properly or would quickly be shown where the exit is. Footballers live in a cotton wool bubble while they have their contract.
Brands giving him that contract made it impossible for us to shift him.

No sane club would have paid actual money for him and then meet his wages demands.

He's been worst signing of them all.

Don't care if he scored the odd 30 yarder, because that was him just making up for the other 10 gaffs he made before.

I’d probably agree on the worst signing of all, just in term of how long he has been here and games played.

He's here 8 years, we've made him a very wealthy man.

Brands doesn't get the criticism he deserves, he went a long way to making the mess we got into but some how gets away with a lack of criticism, he gave those contracts to Mina, Gomes and Iwobi i mentioned above and whatever about Keane I think Holgate might still actually be on more then Keane or there is a couple of grand in it a week.

That said i think we've made worse value signing then Keane over this period - at least he contributed something.

I know it's against the grain, but if Keane is looking sharp in training and over his horror show it might still be the more logical percentage call to go with him here. O brien has barely played for us at cb and Keane only conceded 4 in 7 games in his previous 7 starts. A confidence player who was not ready to come on last week.

He didn't set his own wages, somebody offered and he obviously snatched their hand off.
On a personal note; unless we're down to 9 outfield players and all the other subs have been abducted by aliens, I'd rather he didn't kick another ball for us.
