Some want him but not for me. Terrible football to watch.

….i’m old enough to remember John McGrath and Jimmy Gabriel playing for Saints, they were a tough team at one point but some terrific players like Terry Paine, Mick Channon, Le Tiss and of course the great Alan Ball.

We went a long time without a win at The Dell, I think Mike Buckley scored in a 1-0 win. Here’s hoping you’re back again soon ;) Feel free to keep posting on here.

I'm far too young for those days sadly. I know some of our older fans still haven't forgiven you lot for Adrian Heath in 1984 though!

Loads of teams hated coming to the Dell including United in their pomp in the 90s. Bet your record there wasn't as bad as ours at Goodison mind. Typical that the only time we've won three this century was when we got relegated last, maybe it'll happen again...

And thanks mate, I signed up originally to follow the new stadium progress but have obviously been involved in discussions about the last Goodison game too.

Looking at the table, we could mathematically guarantee our safety in the next two weeks.

Ipswich have played 31 and have picked up 20 points. They therefore have seven games remaining meaning the highest points tally they can achieve is 41 points.

Meanwhile, Leicester have picked up three points fewer (17), but have a game in hand (against Newcastle tonight), which will bring them level on games played. Hence, the highest points tally Leicester can achieve is also 41 points.

We are currently on 35 points after 31 games. If we win our next two and they fail to win both of their games, we will be safe. However, if Leicester lose tonight and Ipswich lose next week, we could reach 38 points with a win (the highest points tally both Ipswich and Leicester could hope to achieve at that point). If that were to happen, we would only require another point to avoid having to consided goal difference.

Whatever happens, we should secure safety. It seems to be a matter of when rather than if.

Mate we are 15 points clear. Forget the maths, it’s done.

I don’t think any manager was saving you this season mate!

At least with Martin you had someone you know you could do it if you went straight back down and needed to go again. There just wasn’t a purpose to Juric may as well just stuck!
Managers like Martin and Kompany and more concerned about their own brand than the results of their team.

I don`t think any of the bottom 3 will get to 35 points... Leicester still have Bournemouth, Brighton and Forest away with Newcastle and Liverpool at home. Ipswich have Chelsea, Newcastle and Everton away with Brentford and Arsenal at home.

Also requires us to win 0 points and lose all of our remaining games + the goal difference.

17th is worst case, depending how we ene the the season. We will have low 40s, I am 100% sure about that
