Could have put David James in there and it would have been just as weird

Selection of Henderson just does that Tuchel just wants the media on side. He wasn’t good enough for the top international level in 2014 when a geriatric Pirlo gave him and Gerrard the run around at walking pace. He sure isn’t good enough in 2025. Keeps the kopite media happy though. Tuchel going full Sven and Cappelo.

Tuchel obviously has an idea of how he's going to play and he's picked those players he thinks will be around for 18 months. He's on a short term contract just for the World Cup. Picking old players he's probably going for a conservative attitude, which is the modern way in international football.
