If someone was offering Everton that exact stadium design somewhere in the hinterlands of Liverpool/Merseyside region there’s no way I’d swap it for what we have by the waterfront, even with the reduced capacity, no way.

Bryan, you are allowed to compare other stadiums.

The United cost includes much more than just the stadium btw. It also includes all the surrounding buildings as part of the development landscape. However, I think that they are being extremely ambitious with their costing. That will increase by at least 20% before they get workers on site.

I don't see it being viable in all honestly, mostly due to funding. Certainly not at that scale of development.

That’s an early indication he’ll want the govt. to foot the bill for it (at least a large chunk of it) like US franchises get from cities

Duncan Ferguson- I've seen the shouts for him to be one of the legends in Everton way but he was gone for the 2nd time just before I got hooked on Everton.

Trying to understand his greatness, I checked his goal scoring record. Surprised to find that he was roughly a 1 in 4 striker. His year by year has a whiff of Nicky Lewin about it.

Can y'all set me straight as to why Duncan merits a stone?

I think he is loved by some, not so by others. He got off to a flier in Joe Royle`s first game after he took over from Mike Walker, by scoring in a 2-0 win against the neighbours. He got the winner in Feb that season v the Mancs, but after that I can`t think much of his first spell apart from being a hard man. When he came back the second time he was n`t as big a hit, between injuries and suspensions. I lost any liking I had for him after a needless sending off at Charlton, when he came on with us 2-0 down and needing a goal, and his only contribution was to get sent off for an elbowing a player in the face going for a header.

He was n`t happy about not getting a new contract and left football altogether until he ran out of cash and decided he`d need to work for a living and came back here to get his coaching badges. Spent a number of years putting cones out for the warm ups before departing on a not so successful career as a manager.

The higher up you go the more knackered you are. I imagine a lot of our season ticket holders are 40+ and could do without a steep flight!

Thanks Mate, Myself and my son are getting ours tomorrow. I really need a seat in the upper tier but as close to the exit as possible as don't rate my chances climbing up to the top rows of the upper with back and knee issues and recent foot surgery (Yes I need SHOOTING !!). My son will probably get one above the safe standing section in the upper tier of the South Stand. Well that's the plan anyway !!!

There are thousands of people who have been waiting years for a season ticket, and still can't buy one due to availability. So no, you can't get a Season Ticket if you just rock up.

Myself and my son have been official members for 7 seasons and this was the 1st time we were offered season tickets. Every season we has a big fat NO apart from next season.
