Boring game and disappointing result. What a change in mindset from me in a few weeks. I would have taken a point away at Wolves all day no matter how we played.
This.

Worst match under Moyes so far. Too many players not good enough. Sloppy in possession, our attack pretty much non-existent, bad first touches.

I dont see the point of hanging on to Lindstrom or Harrison. Both not good enough to ensure another loan or buy. Beto was terrible today. He works hard but he lacks skill. I wonder what his stats were since it felt a bit like playing with 10 men. Would have liked to see Chermiti get some minutes.

On a positive note, we do have another point and O Brien, Tarkowski and Branthwaite looked solid again. Alcaraz also nice. The way he created the chance for Beto was really good.

Its a shame we have so many players injured. O Neill, DCL, Broja and Ndiaye would all have been very welcome today.

No way 😂. Nothing against him in terms of his greatness when he was first here, but our midfield is easily overrun and cut through with no steel in the middle, which I thought he was meant to be He can't do it all on his own definitely, but his body can't do it effectively
Why can't 'his body do it effectively ' ? He was once again our best player tonight and has been consistently good all season.
He still has non stop energy and finished the game strongly, he puts younger players to shame.

Believe it or not... I am.

Good players usually cost good money, PL experienced players a premium. Moyes has a history of unearthing a few good players at value, but it is unreasonable to expect him to turf up 5 or 6 bargains of the century in one window.

Tarkowski 33 this year
Gana 36 this year
The support isn't convinced on Mykolenko
We've a CB holding the RB place.
Lindstrom and Harrison are both starters and are loans. Mangala was first choice until an ACL also a loan. Alcaraz needs paying for.

The size of the step backwards this summer provides is huge. I can't remember a similar summer like it.
I'm skeptical as to just how much PSR applies to teams owned by Russians vs teams owned by oil states or Muricans... or INEOS

Cal-Lewin, Doucoure, Keane, Coleman, Young, maybe Gana. I'm honestly worried, a player exodus could leave us with a bare bones squad and no means to fix it. Say a miracle is performed, the squad could still be so thin a couple of injuries could cripple us all the same.

Virginia GK
Begovic GK
Patterson
Keane
Chermiti
Young
Coleman
Iroegbunam

Tonights bench. We face the culmination of seasons of short sighted losses. Call it 10 players needed. What total sum is reasonable to spend?
This is an opportunity - not a threat. Most of the players out of contract aren't of the required standard. If they were, I'd agree with you. They aren't. We have some leeway to spend this summer. There is no reason at all that we cannot upgrade a portion of the squad significantly this window. If we cannot upgrade the likes of Doucoure, Harrison, and Lindstrom then we might as well throw our hats at it.

It's not just PSR, it's the actual means to find the funds in the first place. The new owners have just coughed up an asking price to moshiri, and there the penny drops.

Of course.

These own both Everton and Roma. So with some pals who also own a couple of sides, they can have their clubs play every summer in Dallas for instance.

The America's cup, every July. Specialist coverage, they own it all, specialist ads, they own all that to.

Beto
Doucoure
Lindstrom
Harrison

Gana ???
Garner
Myko
Branthwaite
Tarkowski
O'Brien
Pickford

Alcaraz is a loan currently.
Tim Iroegbunam was subbed on.
Young was subbed on.

Of our 14 players to feature tonight, 2 nearly 3 are ooc, and 3 are loans currently. They need replacing or keeping just to stay still. Then you want or expect a load of upgrades? Lets give in to the dissenters and go with Myko and Beto not being up to the job and Branthwaite pinched. 9 of 14...

This situation is precarious.

That back three of O’Brien, Tarks, and Branners is solid. A healthy McNeil, Illy, and Alcaraz starting up top with Beto changes all matches remaining when they’re all fit.

alcaraz looks great. that run on the counter is what we’ve been missing basically since i started watching us in the year 2000

get him in the starting xi next week
Still can’t believe he didn’t start. In every performance be it starting or off the bench, he’s offered something positive in the final third. To. be honest he looks like the only player who looks like he can create something.

I’d absolutely add Ndiaye into that sentiment. But that’s about it. Seeing good stuff from Jake, too, as far as composure and pushing higher to create nice through balls.
