Moyes has shown he can get a tune out of most of the current squad. Keep most of it together and add quality to it. I don't want him to play every game but he can still be useful ( reduced terms) would be perfect.

That stat means nothing when we’re fighting relegation, there’s probably only a small difference in them stats with 6 or 7 players. If we were challenging for Europe and that was the case then fair enough. We’ve hardly won many football matches in 2/3 years

….i said i wouldn’t be surprised if Doucoure asks for a 2 year deal, he knows Moyes will be keen to have him available next season. I suspect he’ll be offered 12 months on the same terms, as will Gueye.

If Doucoure was to be offered 12 more months on the same terms, surely we'd have just invoked our one year option. I have no doubt he will be offered an extension, but, I'm sure it will be on much reduced terms.

We'll see who's right and who is wrong in 4 months or less.

Does it? We all hope that's what will happen but has there been any noise about that leaking from the club? Nope. We're all hoping that's because TFG is a tighter ship than previous regimes but it might be because there are no such plans. Moyes is quoted as saying we are 3/4 players short of a squad capable of qualifying for Europe, I think most of us think that is pie in the sky but maybe that really is the plan. If so, players like Doucoure, Gana and (God forbid) Keane may well still be here next season.

Tbf, he causes havok in ours too.. but still, his energy alone is worth another year. On his current wage ?? Not a chance.. but if he's up for playing in a much improved side next year.. He'll take the pay cut, if not.... Get rid!!
