Have to admit I'm concerned by the reports suggesting they're giving Moyes the keys to the kingdom after just a handful of games. Yes, it's been a great start, but giving him total control and bringing in his mates in key jobs (if true, of course) is the kind of thing that should only be considered after a good couple of seasons of clear, sustained improvement, not fewer than 10 games.

Really hope to be proved wrong but it seems incredibly short-sighted, especially ahead of such a crucial summer for the club's future.
Good points, however I am sure his previous stint with us has been taken into consideration. By all accounts he had the keys to the kingdom then too, and for what it's worth, did a great job for the majority. Can't remember the last time we had a Cahill or a Coleman. Also, maybe TFG aren't giving him the keys. Maybe Moyes forgot to give them back when he buggered of to ManUre.

What coach doesn't bring in their own coaching personnel? The guy from West Ham only ever worked with him at WH so don't think he counts as a mate.

Coaching-wise, I don't have a problem with it. I just think we should be wary of implementing our entire setup around a guy who's been here for a few weeks, especially when it comes to recruitment. But like I said, I very much hope I'm wrong. He's definitely silenced the doubters so far

Whenever he does his *sigh* thing at the end of a post.
*Sigh* for us @davek. Set us up for a great weekend

Why would the owners go the game if they weren't fans of the sport? Maybe their sport is Business?

I couldn't give a proverbial if they attend or not to be honest. Its the CEO that should be representing them at the games.

They have set the good ship Everton on a much clearer financial path than the one the previous owners steered us towards. They didn't need to sign many players in January because they got rid of Dyche who had gone from an asset to the club to an anchor.

Instead of having just a contrary view, why not try living on the happy side for....well a post at least. It seems you were only truly happy when you were leading us in a Relegation fight last year.

It's not though.

When West Ham gave Moyes most of the keys he finished in the top 10 3 out of the 4 seasons, their highest ever premier league position (6th), highest points total (65), and a European trophy, while spending within their framework.

Said in the other thread, you don't let Moyes into the club unless you give him the reigns to do what he does.

He's not a "coach" he's a manager. He'll build a foundation.

It's not glamorous and we've been on this ride before. But from where we were...it's a start.

But we have had plenty of Kroldrup's, Beatties and Bilyaletdinovs.

Is it too far fetched to see him moving up to some sort of DOF role when his contract as our manager runs out?

We don't have to go without a sponsor after this FYI, it isn't unlawful, not great optics/morally right

Current Prem sponsors that also fall under this:

BC.Game shut down their operations in December - Leicester still sponsored by them
BJ88 - Bournemouth sponsor doesn't have a UK site
Kaiyun Sport - Forest sponsor and in the same boat as BJ88

It's a good get out if the club want to walk away from the Stake deal but they are under no obligation to immediately do so
could they just switch to Kick?
