This route doesn't feel too bad to me...... may not make the game but still a good day!

I'm not taking the council's side at all, I'm simply stating the facts as they happened, not speculating about "scaring horses" in negotiations. Ultimately, it was the club's choice to relocate to the site. The Council helped facilitate that via the site owner, Peel (which the club had failed to do previously) and even offered to underwrite a special funding vehicle when the club failed to secure any finances themselves.

Initially, the financial backdrop included a bid for the 2026 CWG..... which would've included significant state funding. When Durban pulled out of hosting the 2022 games. That new window became unattainable and we were beaten by Brum. Everything went on hold for a while, with another consultation period.... then the next thing we knew was it had shrunk to a 53k stadium (not 60k+).... and the planning application emerged with the transport plan, as it is. That's what the club signed up for. The council can readily cover themselves by saying that they're skint and/or cannot secure funding for low BCR infrastructure or for a privately-owned company and their fortnightly event venue.... just as the respective councils couldn't for Spurs and Arsenal. If the council has played hard ball and/or if the club has failed to push their side is irrelevant now. That is what they signed up to, and have claimed was sufficient provision in every document, meeting and announcement since..... and their fallback is get your walking shoes on. Shouting about it now is meaningless, your "scared horses" bolted years ago, and you said nothing!

It's a fact that the club chose that place to relocate; it's also a fact that LCC were very happy to locate Everton there because they hoped it would attract investment to that end of the town and link up with and boost their own Ten Streets development plans.

Anderson in 2019: "We have been working with Everton from the start of this project and what has been clear from day one is that this stadium is not just right for the Club and their supporters, it’s a development that is right for our dilapidated docklands which sit in one of the poorest areas of the UK. "Their plans for Bramley-Moore Dock and Goodison Park, alongside our regeneration ideas for Ten Streets and Walton, have the potential to deliver a huge long-lasting economic and cultural boost for our communities in North Liverpool and across the entire city by creating new opportunities, jobs and visitor appeal.

They were talking up The Ten Streets development plans as a chance to create another Baltic Triangle in the north end docks with the stadium an accelerator for growth there.

LCC developing their project was symbiotic with Everton developing the stadium site, not the least reason for that was that the two required transportation improvements to make them work. Everton brought their investment in the north end docks as part of the bargain into fruition, LCC didn't fulfil their duties in that respect.

Even before the submitted P.A. LCC were talking up a 'Lime Line' light transport network to run around the city centre and extend out to the north end docks. Nothing came of that either.

You yourself stated that the authorities failed to deliver major infrastrure here. Is that not your position anymore?

But anyway, "Everton that"...and you'll never forgive them for moving from Goodison - which is, I think, the top and bottom of your analysis.

You can speculate as much as you want about what you think happened or should've happened and how they relate to other projects, but the fact remains....... The Club's Transport Plan is the only thing we have in black and white, and none of the things on your wish list is mentioned. That's the actual top and bottom of it!

I voted to move from Goodison for Kings Dock and also had a Transport Assessment done for a site on Central Docks when KEIOC were looking at it as an alternative to Destination Kirkby. So, I'm afraid that's more made-up nonsense on your part. So please stick to the facts.

You appear to be a fairly switched on type of person. How are you not cottoning on here?

I'm not speculating on the council integrating their Ten Streets development with the stadium. It's there. It's there to be viewed. And the failure to put that in place is very real too - and so is its ramifications on the stadium transportation issue.

The club transport plan: what document is this? If it's not the Mott MacDonald document, what is it? The Northgate link to all stadium planing documents doesn't work anymore.
