Unpopular opinion on here but I’d be happy keeping him for 2 years on these terms tbh. I expect Moyes wants him to stay as well.

Would depend on what other offers he had and where he wants to end up I guess. I.e. back to France or maybe Saudi. Don't think there would be many willing to match his current wages.

Id agree i do want see another midfielder come in this summer with alcaraz. With hopefully seeing tim play more games next season, two would be just about enough for me.

Don't know mate. He's just had a kid and might not be in the mood to leave his current set up and friends.
Just look at that Paul Mullin, chose to drop down and play for Wrexham so he wasn't far from his family or had to move them.

I doubt that very much. 2yrs 9/10 mil to be a back up and getting older in the process

I think we need a first choice midfielder, with gana and garner to fight it out who
Takes the other spot, Tim still unproven at this level and will still be 4th choice.
But if doucoure goes we may need another one

I doubt we have much choice, Doucoure will no doubt have been pushing for an answer (quite rightly) and it may even be stipulated in the contract that we need to inform him of our decision by a certain date in order for him to be able to make plans. I think it's a bit naive to think that players will happily sit there until the end of June with no idea whether they're about to be unemployed or not.

Actually now i believe there was a deadline in option to extend that has now passed and we haven't taken it up mate.

Maybe we offer him a much reduced one year deal, but I cant see Moyes liking him. Moyes seems to want technical players for the middle and always has, Doucoure has no fit for him.
