Why would you want to pay Top dollar to keep a striker that doesn’t score and doesn’t want to be here and also keep a defender that leaves our back line with more holes in it than OJ Simpson’s defence ?
That was all written before the Moyes resurgence. I feel quite differently about it now

All this speculation about spending millions on a host of players might be wishful thinking. I think we need to wait for the accounts to be published in the coming weeks to see if we are potentially going to need to sell first to comply with PSR. Moyes eluded to the fact that we have one more window to deal with before things get better, so I’m not sure if this summer will be the open door people are expecting. I might be wrong and hopefully I am, but I just don’t believe we are going to be spending £50m+.
50mil over 5 yrs is 10mil next season, I’d be surprised if we don’t spend over 100mil, agin on the accounts that’s only 20mil next season, I think he said one payment, which will be before June 30th as from July the 1st it’s a new accounting year.

And from what’s been said, we will be in a healthy place with PSR due to being in profit on spending for about 4 years. Add in all the new sponsorship deals, the high interest payments on loans improved, the new ground a naming rights deal. And owners with deep pockets who can put down large down payments on players, if needed. Maybe we sell goodison to the ladies team for 30mil?? Anyway I expect iud to spend some good money this summer

In total - perhaps I’m just fearing the worse.
Mate am absolutely clueless when it comes to the clubs finances but my flabber will be gasted, if we're only forking out around 50mil for players this summer.

Serious investment is needed this summer and the press have said TFG plan to heavily invest.

Listen I take you're point, we're probably not going to be spending 60mill on one player but am sure you'll see numbers coming in and money spent.

GK: Pickford / ??? / ???
LB: Mykolenko / ???
LCB: Branthwaite / ???
RCB: Tarkowski / O'Brien
RB: ??? / Dixon
LM: Ndiaye / McNeil
LCM: Gana / Iroegbunam
RCM: Garner / Armstrong
RM: ??? / ???
ACM: Alcaraz / Doucoure
CF: ??? / Beto / Chermiti

If we extend Gana and Doucoure + promote Armstrong, Dixon and a keeper from the youth sides then we would need 4 rotation players + 3 starters -- in addition to Alcaraz signing.

So in theory there wouldn't be a huge amount to do.

Is to much to ask for dixon and armstrong imo both need moves away next season.

Dixon is 20 and I think would be fine as a 2nd choice (or 3rd with O'Brien playing there currently) right back.

Armstrong should be in the squad, rotating in/out.

The savings here as 'squad players' would mean we have a lower number of signings required.

If were looking purely at 3 starters: CF, RW, RB and 4 rotation players: RM, LCB, LB, GK then if we use the loan market effectively we 'may' be able to target an additional CM player.

I suspect, knowing Moyes track record we'll go for a smaller squad but hopefully TFG focus on signing youth and quality.

Surley the probable forthcoming announcement of stadium and shirt sponship will be sufficient to unleash a major transfert chest this summer.

Is the shirt sponsorship up this year? Thought we still had another year with that shower, hope not like!

Not for me as has shown nothing he is good enough to be 2nd choice would be looking for better. Armstrong i would give you just feel starting every week would help more

I'd keep hold of virgina & begovic for another year

think virginia has a years option to extend

Begovic is surely a glorified coach at this point?

With Virginia i'm sure it was mentioned some time ago that he loved the club but wanted to be first choice (somewhere else) ?

No way Levy is loaning Richarlison to us mate.

What he will look for to make any deal happen, wouldn’t be in our interests.

Swerve city.
He loaned out 3 players last season, and he loaned out more the season before that, including to Brentford and Man United.

Back up winger?
He would immediately be our best player.
Oh Im not saying he cant go and score 5-10 goals from the wing, but with an oft-injured player it would be wise to sign them as a backup rather than relying on them as the starter. If they stay healthy and take the job its gravy.
