I've re-counted and even a bare-bones side of 24 players (2/3 players for each position) would require 7 signings to have sufficient depth.
I'd expect loans to be heavily utilised again (at least 3).
If we have a budget of around £80/100m (I've no idea if that is the case) then its 4 players in the £20/25m region.

I wouldn’t want young staying on and patto can’t be relied upon to stay fit and hasn’t proven he’s even the standard needed tbh

We need a new first choice rb and back up or someone who can play either fb position to cover the other side too

Pretty scary isn't it when you start breaking it down....

I do t think it’s scary at all … it’s like coming to the final end of a divorce … been getting bled dry for years … couldn’t buy anything during that time and now … finally it’s about to be over .

We have needed a cull for years and it’s finally happening just as the books look balanced , our revenue it about to increase , new owners and a manager that can actually identify decent players

I’m excited … finally

Broja is a promising player. There is a deal to be done at the right price and terms, I reckon.

No… he is one of the worst sick notes I have ever seen .

We have had Delle , dom , gbamin etc costing us millions … we’ve had massive injuries to high earners for years .

Why would you want to sign someone that is almost guaranteed to be injured for long length of his contract ?

Terrible source and wouldn’t normally post it, but this is A: The quality of player we’ll hopefully be going for, and B: now we’re armed with a Summer kitty these kind of links will come thick and fast which is exciting. We can normally write 99.9% of links off because we all knew we never had any money, but now there’s hope there that these kind of links will have a grain of truth to them! Summer is going to be very interesting for a change.

Maybe put a cherki bid in for him you reckon?

Why the flying fox is doucs in the CAM category ?

I would keep DCL if possible, keep Keane and Virginia as backup and probably let the rest leave who are out of contract. I would sign a new left back and right back. I would prioritise signing a winger as the big money signing. I would add in a new younger DM to replace Gueye who will be turning 36. Job done

Why would you want to pay Top dollar to keep a striker that doesn’t score and doesn’t want to be here and also keep a defender that leaves our back line with more holes in it than OJ Simpson’s defence ?

All this speculation about spending millions on a host of players might be wishful thinking. I think we need to wait for the accounts to be published in the coming weeks to see if we are potentially going to need to sell first to comply with PSR. Moyes eluded to the fact that we have one more window to deal with before things get better, so I’m not sure if this summer will be the open door people are expecting. I might be wrong and hopefully I am, but I just don’t believe we are going to be spending £50m+.

When you say £50m+ do you mean on one player or on a raft of players?
