And?

I'd sated that Everton's founders in the limited company era were social reformers and good men.
iirc, in the 30s...in the 20th Century...when those 'good men' involvement was coming to an end / fading...and times were different, somebody(s) decided to move from shareholders 'One Man One Vote' to 1 share one vote.
This concentrated decision making in the hands of the rich, not necessarily in the hands of the competent

John Moores was both rich and competent
Kenwright was poor but cunning
Moshiri was neither
Then John Moores' name was raised - someone I condemned before - as if that were relevant to a discussion about people in the nineteenth century...and a contradiction of my view.

The end.

Yes mate.

There was a steady erosion of shareholders voting power, more especially after that Tory bigot Moores started to buy up any available shares.

If ever there was a man who was politically and socially out of step with Everton it was that 'kin monster. It's laughable to me when I see people post stuff like "Sir John".

He was a Tory rat with a huge sectarian streak to him that belonged over at Anfield...where he rightfully belonged and should have stayed.

Unlike you who doesn`t have a sectarian bone in your body 🤷‍♀️

Minority shareholders. They won't last long. 😁

AS Roma was publicly traded. They spent a lot to buy every single share and delisted the company in less than 2 years since the takeover.

To be honest I was happy with the development, because shareholders meetings had become a stage for attention seekers who attended just to embarrass themselves and anyone remotely connected to the club by releasing facepalm statements they knew would be reported by the press.

There were people who bought a single share just to be entitled to speak at the shareholders meeting and find their names on a newspaper.

It's been perhaps one of their first decisions.

Completely agree

I get business is business but they won’t endear themselves by treating supporters/share holders in this manner. What monies are we talking here? In the grand scheme of things, not a great deal I reckon.
By not discussing this with the shareholders shows a lock of class and respect towards the club.
Red herrings for me.

A red herring indeed.

Had to do a double take as I thought you were talking about Everton shareholder meetings until I noticed your username 🤭
