…the fact he was in the box for a cross coming from the other flank says a lot to me.
Has happened since Moyes arrived, on both sides.

Happened twice over 2 years for Dyche at most.

But the problem was the players, lest we forget.

Anyway, well in JOB! Still not a full back but doing his best there, and we've won a lot with him in that position so it's clearly working.

Amazing how Dyche couldn’t even spot there was a player there and ready to play in the PL.

He’d rather go safe and play his 39 year old mate.

Says it all really.

Moyes and Dyche, chalk and cheese.

Ones a real PL football manager, the other a damage limitation coach probably better suited to non league these days.

Five games in 18 days with a threadbare squad and he scored the equaliser in the 80th minute or thereabouts.

Give the boy a break.
I literally said ‘but he scored the equaliser so who cares’?! As I said, I’m not saying he’s crap, just that I didn’t think he had a good game - this obsession done people have with lurching from things being the absolute worst when we’re losing to infallible when we’re not is a bit weird and not for me I’m afraid. He’s done very well playing his part in our upturn in form, he hasn’t been individually outstanding in the way done people have suggested. Sorry if that upsets you Garth.

No worries Jerry.

On the muted celebration, I get the feeling he's still not feeling full acceptance from the fans yet and every match is nearly an audition to cement a starting place especially being played out of position.
He had a bad start to his Everton career, being frozen out by Dyche, now he's in there's probably a lot of pressure to keep performing. That or he's just very reserved.

He's done brilliantly since he came in. Hels fully accepted by our fans. No one gives a 💩 about his celebration or lack of them barring about 3 lunatics on a football forum.
