New Everton Stadium

Just to throw in on The Badge Wars. Reckon @davek s right here. It keeps jumping out at me that the main photo and camera view we keep putting out, has the badge upside down.
Yup, it's meaningless and petty in the grand scheme of things, but that's a boo-boo by the designers. And I am meaningless and petty, so I'll be organising a protest march from the Hot Wok to the new place before the next test event.

Dunno if anybody who was there last week knows but I'm presuming the turnstiles have barcode scanners as well as NFT? Swapping tickets may be easier if so as ST are loaded onto the Everton app.

That John Watson always comes across as a kopite and we all know Sally Nugent is - proper squirming there this morning
I watched it this morning and he spent about 3 minutes talking about how brilliant Liverpool are, how they are bound to win another title and Mo Salah is wonderful. All from our dressing room! Can’t believe he didn’t burst into flames!

Make it spin.

I've always felt the positioning of that club badge is the wrong way round than we want it.

As cameras are coming into the dressing room the crest should have the motto readable to the oncomer.

How stupid is that they didn't turn it that way?

You might say it's the players who need to be reminded of it, but it's a public consumption thing, surely?

Can’t you just wait for the Earth to revolve?

What this crest balls, lads?

Are we buying the idea that an Everton player would walk into the dressing room unfamiliar with our motto - but with a solid grasp of Latin - clock the motto, translate it on the fly and decide there and then that he’s going to try extra hard?

And that if it’s upside down he’ll just think “that’s upside down, I’m not going to look up again from another vantage point and use my excellent Latin skills to translate that.”

They would have been Joey.
Unfortunately people will be cancelling any planned visits in their droves once they know that the crest is the wrong way round in the changies.

Wait until a load of Japanese tourists have their heads lopped off by those ninja turbine blades too.

Still bad publicity is better than non at all - Joseph Goebells Berlin 1942, later revised by DaveK Wigan 2025.

That dressing room will see far more of tourists and tv cameras in it than it will Everton players.
And when those tourists get into the dressing room they`ll be straight over to get a photo taken at their favorite players seat, They won`t be looking at the ceiling as they walk in and think the crest is facing the wrong direction.
