Its not about who we can buy for £12-15m its about him not being worth £20m which imo he isn't. Take yesterday, he makes a great pass to start the move for the second goal then his following touches after that were to give the ball away a number of times. We are being linked with Henrique at Marseille atm and is better suited to the position, no idea on cost, we have also been linked to that Sanchez at Sevilla again better suited to the role. I just don't see Lindstrom being kept on.

Have to say this is where im at as well.

I don't think hes the best we can get for the investment.

Not our job as fans to be finding these players because realistically we have no ideas who can or cannot be available.

If the scouts can’t find better than Lindstrom for 20mil they need to be given their notice period
I think they will get it anyway mate, we still don't know what's going on with Thelwell and there has been talk of Dan Purdy (head of recruitment) going and a reshuffle of the scouts.

Unless he suddenly goes on some sort of amazing run between now and the end of the season I just don't see enough from him.

Hes a fine hit and miss player. Hes capable of some good things, but he's also capable of giving the ball away and being sloppy.

Still has no PL goals and assists - though ill accept a bit of mitigation on the assisting the assister thing.

On the opposite side Illy has 6 PL goals, Mc Neill has 3 PL goals and 5 assists, Harrison has 2 assists. I accept that those numbers aren't the be all and end all - say like Pienaar - but i also don't think he has that same influence.

Its an area of the team we need to fix and hes not the long term answer in my opinion. Hes not a natural right sided winger, hes not a natural inside forward and hes not getting in here at 10.

For the investment we need more and i think we can get better.

Hes got a few months to really kick on and he needs to, but hes not making the cut for me on present showing.

He came off because it looks like he’s got the flu bug, strangely Moyes said he’d showed signs of this illness before the game and at half time Lindstrom said he felt tired, why did he start the second half in fact why did he start at all if he was feeling the illness then?
It’s very rare for players to be at 100% fitness for a game, particularly at this stage of the season. Playing while feeling a bit under the weather or with a niggle is just par for the course, obviously in this case he felt it was causing him a problem and so he was brought off. It’s all very normal.

Reading on here yest dont spend money on him. Buy young talented players for peanuts. Basically what every club in the world wants then. Talent for nothing. Pass your list onto the recruiment team when you get the chance.
He's 24. He's got ability. Can pass a ball. And grafts.
Id like to see a bit more of him tbh. 12 games in a new league i dont think he's been to bad. Unless he's a disaster between now and the end of the season i'd have no issues having him in the squad next season.

i think as things stand another loan or negotiating down to say 12-15 mil makes sense

if it clicks and he gets the goals and assists his performances warrant then 20 starts ot look a good price

There's a bit of fine tuning required, and that goes for both wings. Because neither wing has a specialist full back to work with. Expecting marauding wing play whilst also conscious of working back for defence is a bit of a big ask.
Also there's a bit of Dyche hangover.
Lindstrom has had just over a month of playing something close to his actual game. 3 sides in 18 months and ended up at an Everton side with multiple personality syndrome (the rigid style of play and lump it long).
A bit more attack minded play, a bit more trust the lads at the back, and looking to get the ball to the feet of the striker facing the goal has seen us turn into almost the top recent form side in the league.
Lindstrom gets to season end before any great declarations, his pace could be important in a front four of
Beto
Ndiaye Alcaraz Lindstrom

It will depend on how things look in the summer I imagine, if other options are available in that position he will be sent back, if not and we can fill that position with a loan while bolstering other areas we have seen he can at least do a job there.

Moyes has chance to have a good long look at him in training and in games. He might think that Lindstrøm will put it together to deliver more output or this season is as good as it gets. One of the advantages of the manager change happening when it did.

Moyes said they thought it was a flu bug so I doubt that is par for the course, the sensible thing to do was to send him home away from the rest of the players.

I think he will be kept Si.
