VAR

The bloke on VAR I had never heard of, speaks volumes as to why. Checked ages for the Beto goal looking at every opportunity to overturn it when on first watching everyone could see it was fine. Not even a second checking a possible offside for their second when the ball went into the box from the free kick. No surprise he has told him to check the penalty back, but never enough there to reverse a decision. You do that if you think someone has dived or the referee has made a howler. That was neither. Also no surprise that the closer that United get to the relegation zone, the more meticulous they become with these. Be huge for United to go down, which they won't, but the Premier League don't want to risk it. VAR is meant to be a leveller, but when bias is as inherent as it is, and thoughts about media backlash for possible errors against bigger sides, it just enables more opportunities for today to happen and the bigger teams to prosper

Looked him up, born in greater Manchester…

If that still was shown there is no way it would be overturned. VAR should have cleared it instantly when seeing the pull on the shirt. Instead they were actually looking for reasons to not give a penalty the ref had seen on the pitch. This needs to be investigated because it's bias at worst.

Don't worry everyone we'll get an apology in a couple of days that'll make things better!

Within two frames of the Beto goal and the penalty. The decision is easily made. Only 2 players pulling Young back though, need at least for a clear foul.
It's blatant bias and they're not even hiding it.
They are terrified the "brand" is being damaged by United being crap.

They don't fear relegation, but with City imploding they need United back for the brand.

How the ref was only shown one angle - the one without the shirt-pull - is the question here.

We all know the answer.
