The Now-Irrelevant 2024/25 Relegation Battle (Without Everton!)

MY understanding, which is probably less than nothing, we paid him off, there is a line of thought that he would be entitled to a "bonus" if we stay up, but from my limited understanding, hes free to do whatever he wants.

Thanks. Regardless, I don't think they have enough to stay up anyway.

Couldn't be more pleased to see them getting stuffed tonight. "Champions of England you'll never sing that" from a club who's previous claim to fame was selling Gary Lineker to us. Threatening to sue us for breaking rules that they knew they had broken too. Back to obscurity with them, hopefully with a few months of Sean Dyche to help them on their way.

And singing "Boris Johnson" at Goodison 🤮

You need to understand the meaning of diet...so they say.

Would still be above Leicester on GD if Dyche hadn't been sacked and continued to lose every single game since.

That's how bad Van Nistelrooy has been. He'll probably get sacked in the next week but it's too late for them now as their players just gave up tonight as soon as it went 1-0 and been the same in every game for them bar Spurs away in last two months.

I'll be the pedant to point out we'd be three points behind Leicester as one of the games we'd have lost would've been to them, but yeah the fact the relegation mark has moved one whole point since Dyche was sacked tells you how bad all the teams down there are.

Yeah sorry that's a good spot! O.k would still be above Leicester with Dyche if he'd drawn with them and lost all the others played since he was booted.

Think Ipswich still have a chance as they will end the season playing Brentford, Leicester and West Ham. Leicester will be long relegated by 37th game I think and other two will be mid table with little to play for so Ipswich hope is they win a couple leading up to that to stay in touch and then get 7 out of their last 3 as we've seen many sides do in the past.

I would be very surprised that he will be allowed to sign for a rival team fighting relegation even more so If indeed he could potentially get a bonus for us staying up. Sounds to me like he is on some kind of garden leave.

Yeah I'm confident now that Leicester are done, and that they won't surpass our current tally. Ipswich definitely have a bit more life left in them but that should really only be Wolves' problem.
