Middle aged Man problems

A nap vs sleep proper. Can drop off easily mid afternoon, it's almost a superpower. But, later in the evening and want to drop off to sleep it's suddenly not so bloody simple. "I've gone to bed slightly early here 'cos I need some rest, and now alls I can do is think about the sleep I should be getting!".

holland and barrett, a shop packed to the rafters with 'stuff for your health', joint pain, headaches, inflammation, gut trouble, high BP, excess weight, dry skin, cracked nails, bleeding gums, non sting (zero alcohol) deodorant, eye drops, ear drops, decongestants, hair you don't want, hair where you do, minerals, vitamins, fish oil, strong bones, flintstones chewable morphine, bright skin, firm thighs, scar tissue, clear pores, wonder herbs, super spices, a certain type of dysfunction, blood flow, bruising, back ache, nervous system, gut health, immune support, vision boost, hearing aides, feeling alright, on the up, choose life!

The horror!

Just got Pulsatile tinnitus it’s driving me round the bend, anyone else? And is there any medication I can take?
Nope, sometimes it can just go and there are some exercises, a few things cause it, just going through all this myself atm and my hearing has gotten worse and I'm facing the prospect of a hearing aid,. Get it checked mate.

Just found out my cholesterol is up so recommend a statin.

I’ve never had any health issues been very lucky. I know it’s because I’ve been eating a load of crap for a few months, pastries, cakes and love my butter and eggs.

Usually do enough exercise to counter it but hadn’t done much for a couple of months until started running again end of January.

Getting older sucks.

Anybody here on statins? I’ve said I’ll take them for 3 months to get my cholesterol back down along with eating more sensibly and I’m exercising again now.
I am type 2 diabetic and have been prescribed statins for a long time as a precautionary measure. For years was really pee'd off about it as it meant I couldn't have one of my favourites - grapefruit. Was also prescribed a medication for blood pressure, again precautionary. In the last couple of years the doctor changed both tablets to cheaper versions, I was chuffed as the new statin did not have the warning about eating grapefruit, then became miserable again as the new blood pressure tablet did. Just can't win. NB the statin is Atorvastatin.

I've noticed the same in the last 6 months. Especially going out to eat. Cant read the bloody menu! Im only 45!!
I noticed about 8 months ago that it was getting more difficult to read my phone and my computer at work. Went to the optician who recommended just a slight 1.5 strength pair of glasses would help. Bought a cheap pair in home bargains and they work a treat, only downside is when I don’t have them on for reading now it appears my eyesight has deteriorated rapidly and most words look a blur.
