Sandhills station

It’s certainly one of them.
I've had the displeasure of using many of the country's rail networks, and Merseyrail ain't anywhere near the worst. That's not to say it's perfect etc,

If you have some time, compare Northern's PPM figures to Merseyrail, and you'll see a real network of woe. Some of the home counties networks... wow!

Didn't there used to be a park and ride place other side of the titanic
Wonder if they could use that again and possibly were the ex garden centre that the gypsies are parked on Vauxhall to offer some temporary relief.

Who was in charge of the stadia BK - expect what you get of the late BK, remember the Kings dock fiasco - then Kirkby fiasco ?>>>>At least at Kings Dock a ferries from over the Mersey from Seacombe were going to operate .... The area itself has boomed & he blew that chance - bigger stadia too .... Doh ....

Yes, as we all know Bill Kenwright handled all of the public transport provision under his remit as guy in charge of Merseytravel.

Could have just been timings, but felt Ormskirk had biggest queue, then town, and Kirkby looked alright.
Cheers mate.
Looking to use the route in future but the mayhem at Sandhills has made me think again. Hopefully fewer punters going on the Kirkby route compared to the others.

I live on the wirral now so my match day routine is merseyrail to Lime Street then a soccer bus from commutation row to Goodison costs me nothing on the train or bus as I am 70.
I would imagine I will be doing the same for the new ground.i use to work by Dublin street off Gt Howard Street and I don't understand why there needs to be parking restrictions beyond the Dock road which only need to be in place on event days.
If you stop parking on the dock road it would leave it clear for soccer buses which can be increased from various pick up points.
There is pub on Dublin Street called the Bull which was a cracking old pub in its day i think it is still open and only a 10 minute walk from the ground.

Did Sandhills have gates to stop people reaching the platform away from going through the pig pen?

Mr Drone took this yesterday and it appeared there was nothing stopping you from walking up through the other route. Okay there may have been temp barriers but is that going to hold back anyone drugged up to their eyeballs? To me needs some heavy duty gates on the normal access path.

Do you honestly think no one at Everton pursued the idea of a landing stage, Joey? That it didn't occur to them?
King's dock had the space & room ..... BMD ? Maybe in the future or not ..... I will never ever forgive BK for back then 30 million of outside investment was needed for the Kings Dock & he did not want to lose his train set !
