"Having the ball aimed at his head" that's the exact service people complain he needs. It's just a constant shifting of the conversation to excuse his poor performance.
Behave, no it wasn’t. No fans were saying we need to get more long balls up to Calvert lewin so he can flick them on to no one.

I get you dont like the player, but there is no doubt dinosaur tactics have held him back. People may have been calling for Beto to get a start instead, but when he did play he also looked god awful. Doubt there are many on here that would have been arsed if he’d left in January.

We are comparing the two returns from both players this year.

Though every time we do we are reminded by an army of Dom supporters of a list of mitigating circumstances.

"He's injured so you can't discuss it now"

Blame Dyche again for him putting his shots wide. Great stuff lads.
How many times do you need to repeat that you don't like Dom ands think he's crap. Dom supporter? I've said he's been poor this year what more can I say.

Can't blame Dyche for him shooting wide of course not but you can certainly blame Dyche for him only getting 1-2 chances a game, if that and he isn't going to score many on the halfway line. Beto is being threaded proper balls into his strengths and not being a target man, where he sucked, shcoking that ey?

I was talking about having to constantly set up to cross the ball to him because he's utter mince with the ball at his feet (His last goal is the exception).

Sorry for having a discussion now that his competition has stepped up and looked the part.

What about the previous 3 years before this? Would you call those good seasons? Or can we agree he's been poor for four years now. Without the list of excuses please.

Wahhhh wahhhh Dyche this Dyche that.

Constantly bitching about him is not "having a discussion" is it, you have an agenda because you don't like him. 3 years before, injured for 2 of them and then had to play Dycheball.

Most of us can agree he's been poor, I don't think I've seen anyone say different but at the same time Dyche's tactics really hindered him. Why can't both things be true? Well they are if you're genuine but I suspect you're just revelling in him being injured and Beto has been a dream come true for you slotting all of a sudden, funny though Beto is benefitting better tactics, 🤷 almost as if tactics work who'd have thunk it

In a system where both Beto and DCL played under Dyche, I feel the very few cameos Beto had compared to near entire matches all season long for DCL, it was always Beto’s performances that stood out more to me.

Both lads were victim to the system they were forced to play. Neither of their strengths were played to. But Dom’s 80 minutes were more forgettable and head shaking as opposed to the passionate flashes Beto would show in 10 minutes.

The thing is, neither striker were scoring goals under Dyche, and both looked a lot better under Moyes.

Beto did well last weekend, but also missed a good chance from about 5 yards. The difference is it's not the only chance we create in 3 weeks now.

I've watched Dom miss chances consistently for four years under three managers since Ancelotti. He is consistently one of the highest performer against his Xg because he missed chances constantly or headed them to the keeper.

Dyche wasn't the only one and he looked poor under all of them, for four years which is half the time he's been here at the club.

He scored a few important goals in that time, again, because goals were sparse every single goal was much more important.

Moyes might be the magic bullet you all claim he is but the time might have come too late for Dom because he's facing quite the challenge to get back into the side on Beto's form.

We haven't had a striker in this good form for four years and Dom was here for all of those.

He played under 3 poor managers. Wwn he has a good manager he scored goals, and he looked better under a other good manager.

He was also injured a lot too.

It's a shame he broke down under Moyes really.

And yes Beto is having a great patch and might get to Dom levels under Carlo. He deserves to stay in the team.
