But I thought no one could do better with these players?

Well technically it isn't even Dyche players as it was pretty much always DCL with Beto getting one start every two months if that. Now we're seeing the Beto who was hitting double figures in Serie A.

I've said for months I'd move DCL on rather than try to placate him with outrageous contract offers. Beto is showing he can contribute now he knows a manager has actual faith in him so he'll be a good backup/plan B next season compared to the filler he was under Dyche.

99% of this forum wanted O'Brien to get a go. Mental really it was just Young/Coleman rotation. That is where fresh eyes can really benefit as Dyche was too stuck in his ways at RB and who could actually play there.

I think McNeill can show more in this type of system so looking forward to seeing him back soon.

It is to Moyes's great credit he's getting these results without any of McNeill, Mangala, DCL and now Ndiaye as when fit they're all regulars.

West Ham fans taking their decision to go with Potter well, I see.

I think the key here is that his predecesor could only play one way so he made the players play that way regardless of their characteristics. Some of them just could not fit his template, so he changed them or didnt play them at all.
Moyes looked at the players and said- hmmm with these assets the best way to get the most out of them is to play 'this way'.
the difference between a smart man and a stubborn man.
