A club that wouldn't sign an Irish Catholic for almost 100 years, a club that slaughtered foreigners at Heysel, a club that stood by Suarez'd racism; a club that stood by Firmino's racism, now they'll stand by their fans online racial abuse.
Well said. Make sure you post that everywhere mate

….i read some stats suggesting we have an abysmal record when Doucoure doesn’t start so Palace away just got a whole lot more difficult.
We’ve had an abysmal record for a few years, Prior to Moyes we’d hardly won a game in 12 months I’d imagine a few players have similar stats. He’s not really a big loss imo,
He nearly cost us the game today.
Long term we need to move on from poor players if we want to kick on.

They all thought it was funny when Suarez dived in front of the Everton dug out, can't have it both ways .
The main thing is they just don't understand football. A last minute winner against rivals in the last game against them at OUR ground. Of course we are going to celebrate but they have to make it about them every single time.

I also find it a bit typical that a lot of pundits are saying stuff like "well we don't want to see the scenes at the end of the game in the Premier League". Don't we? I would say most real fans love to see all that stuff as long as nobody gets hurt.

You've been reading that stat before and after every game for several years now Eggs, but thanks for reminding us nonetheless.

I know (as it's been made clear) that context doesn't matter for those games and we can just cherrypick that exact statistic.

I’d ask @Eggs to go and look who played in midfield for Villa or Newcastle 4/5 yrs ago
When they got relegated or had just come back up and were scrapping around the relegation zone. Or who payed in Bournemouths and Brightons midfield at a similar time, again when both teams we just seen as relegation fodder.

Buy better footballers, play better football and move up the league. If we want to stay around the bottom of the league, then just keep buying doucoure’s

If only.

We can celebrate. But really, he shouldn’t have done what he did. We love a bit of sh**housery but that was only ending one way. It doesn’t excuse how Jones went through the back of him though, and certainly doesn’t excuse the racist abuse he has received since. Or the bottle being thrown which hit Pickford who was trying to calm it down.

….not in a single post have I not suggested we need to move on from Doucoure. I’m extremely critical of his lack of quality in possession, it cost us again last night. I’ve regularly posted that when we win games without him is when we’ve truly improved.

Saying that, what I absolutely recognise is his effectiveness and the critical part he’s played in maintaining our top flight status. For that I’ll always be grateful. Moyes was full of praise for him last night, saying how important he is to the team.

Prepare yourself, there might just be another contract offer for him soon ;)
