2024/25 David Moyes

Someone at the club wanted to spout pure nonsense that the player in question was far closer than what he actually is.

You may be right where he comes back in April, but I can't see Moyes being down to the bare bones and saying "yep no worries lad, you take another couple of weeks".

The club chatted absolute crap during that window "done our homework, ready to pounce at the end of the window" and we managed to scrape a loan signing through the door and have left Moyes with 1 striker.

The club take Everton fans for absolute mugs and get away with it time after time.

Absolutely. And the same media outlets that were more than happy to spout those timescales, won’t say a word when they are shown to be nonsense.

They cant make them sign mac.
Would have had some targets but theres a lot to sort out before they are signed.

Blame the club as much as you want but Moyes doesn't get away with it either though, he is as much as fault as the club. He clearly wanted too review the squad and potential targets so if anyone delayed stuff or was messing about its him, we know what he is like when it comes to the market. Fans just want to point the finger at Thelwell all the time and there is a bit more too it than that and it will get worse as most fans have now dusted off the old Moyes blinkers again and think he can do no wrong. We have people saying its him in charge of things yet they are still blaming Thelwell, make your bloody minds up folks.

Moyes and KT have both said the same thing, no affordable quality available.

A problem it seemed the majority of the league faced.

As I've said, it means there are no excuses left in the Summer, serious and sensible cash HAS to be spent.

I'm not disputing that but they have put huge pressure on themselves in the summer and better deliver otherwise there will be a backlash you would imagine. They are not going to get away with the Longstaff's and Gnonto's of this world imo so I hope they have a plan and know what they are doing.

To be fair, I wouldn’t mind Gnonto as one of the signings we go for. Caveat being that the price would need to be ok and he is coming in as the utility forward that can play across the front line but would still need starting quality RW and St as well.

Longstaff would be a poor decision (even though I’d have taken him as a squad option this January for short term while PL safety was the focus). Not in the summer though. We are aiming higher then.

He is dreadful though, not anything like a PL player, i don't personally think he is a Championship player myself hence being kept out by the highly limited Dan James, he is a £5-10m player at the very, very most imo.

Gnoto is terrible mate

Gnoto a young Italian winger with top flight league experience, playing in the championship for a broke team.
And not one Italian team even enquired about him never mind tried to loan or tried to buy, if that doesn't ring massive alarm bells about the lad I don't know what will, Harrison was preferred over him after he left another player got favoured over him, he's a backup winger for a championship side...

Gnonto isnt very good. He is squarely in the ‘why tf is our DoF obsessed with this player’-category with Broja

Total bull from the club though mate to hide their blatant incompetence in the window......"no need to purchase a striker as Chermiti is only 3-4 weeks away (banking on a kid who hasn't scored and barely showed anything), Broja doing great and only 4-5 weeks away and DCL we're confident he'll be back before end of the season"

Reality is we have 1 fit striker then Michael Keane as back up. It's an absolute piss take yet people last week were saying we'll be sound with just Beto and Everton were right not to strengthen. Well, the club has taken the piss once again, left us completely short.

This rant is regardless if we won every game from now until end of season, it's not great management, it would be down to sheer luck if we avoid any more injuries. It's piss poor squad management, recruitment, whatever way anyone wants to dress it up.
Exactly what ive been saying
