Just on 40% of the season to go - win our game in hand - one that we won last season - and we're 13th.

... there's fans now saying we need to look up, and fair play to them. We've won a couple, lets see how long we can ride that bounce. After all, we finished 12th lasts eason with all the distraction/pressure of point deductions hanging over us.

The reality, at least to me, is this team is 12th at best with no injuries.

17th at worst. We should outperform Southampton, Ipswich and Leicester.

When you sit in that space, bottom half of the table, any team that's been in successive relegation fights will be in a relegation scrap until it isn't.

This team, no matter the manager, will be in a scrap.
We could be 13th yes, but from where we were, we shouldn’t be expecting to do that. He is a better manager, but his remit was and is still securing safety.

If he had the whole season, I would expect higher, but based off what he picked up from the last manager, even after a few wins, the expectation from when he was appointed doesn’t and shouldn’t change.

I think if he he had the whole season, we win at least 3 more of the games from before he took over. (Even just beating saints, Leicester and holding out vs Bournemouth for example). Puts us mid table.

If he had taken over in summer after we had just got 48 points, his target would have been matching that as a minimum. Not talking us down from day 1 in to a relegation scrap.

This time last season, we'd just lost away at Man City and sat 18th. From then on last season, thanks to a great run late on we earned enough points to finish 12th. The points deduction really pilled pressure on last season too, we have some freedom at the moment.

I'm personally not expecting us to finish above 15th - because of the squad we have. But I wouldn't say fans shouldn't expect us to finish any higher than where just 1 league win this week would have us.

Dyche quit D.

Let it go my G.

You lost.

He kept us up and kept our heads above water until new owners. Mission accomplished.

He won.
He did what he was asked for until ran out of depth, which happened about from January 2024.

Relegation under Moshiri was one of the worst things I could have imagined for. Thanks god he was part of avoid it, no matter how, but he did it.

A change of manager was inevitable upon change of ownership.

When Dyche took over from Lampard there was an immediate improvement which was needed to rescue the club from an extremely dangerous situation

Now Moyes has taken over and is doing very well. Hopefully we can achieve the objective for this season and get to the new stadium as as a PL team. From there it’s hopefully onwards and upwards with Moyes over the next few seasons.

It doesn’t have to be this silly either or game that some are trying to perpetuate, if you liked Lampard you don’t like Dyche, and those who liked Dyche are fuming because Moyes is winning games etc.

Most Everton fans I know just want us to be winning games, most respect the job Dyche did at the time for us, most are now behind Moyes pushing us forward.

There doesn’t need to be a one or the other dichotomy.

It was, he started with 2 wins in 3 very difficult games. Arsenal, LFC and Leeds. Leeds was difficult, because it was a psychological game, we came from losing against almost all relegation competitors the weeks before and had to play another relegation battle team.

I always said it's too early to get enthusiastic now through 3 wins in 3 games, as well as to get back to Dyche at end now after Bmouth, it's morelike breathing a sigh of relief for me the 3 wins.

We might not be a very exciting team to watch every week under Moyes, but fully trust him he'll get us up the table with the right backing.

No its not. Not if they're doing a job. Your mate was taking the club to the championship.

You're another dychette who refuses to acknowledge he'd lost the plot. You'll just argue and argue the lost cause.

I don’t think you even know what you’re arguing any more. Blind one eyed hatred for a football manager who kept this team in the league has absolutely warped your brain. Very sad to see.

The Dyche stuff is just weird to be honest. Some people come across as genuinely unhinged with it, every post comes across like they're bashing at the keyboard with a foaming mouth. He did a good job for a bit, then he started to struggle and he was rightly sacked. It happens. He's gone and Moyes (who's always been a superior manager to Dyche anyway) has come in and improved us - what's not to like?

If you check my posts from last season i praised him. So you're very wrong.
Right from the start of this season we've been diabolical. He shouldnt have been anywhere near Everton this season.
Your little comments like new owners change managers isnt fooling anyone.
He was given the boot because he was so bad this season.
