What a strange thread
Seen quite a few say it is OK to go out of the cup to focus on the league.. no self respecting club fanbase would accept throwing away chances of success year after year for the amount of years we have and we don`t need to look too far for the successful model.

I`d have a different opinion if we were right in the relegation mire but I think we will get clear with 3, 4 or 5 games to spare which this makes it more frustrating.

You watch Bournemouth get easy home draws to the semi`s... Our club is an absolute shell compared to the club that demanded success, 30 years of dumbing down by BK saying this is the best we can expect went someway to the attitude now.

So yes, I think our fans have given up......

I wouldn’t say given up but I think have just got used to going to the game and having nothing to cheer about

Some games I barely get off my seat when they score

It’s a symptom of where we find ourselves. At the start of the season did you have any hope of winning anything, and did your demand for us to do so lead you to believe that we would come close to anything other than a relegation fight??

It’s not giving up its realism of where we are. Nobody goes from A to Z in one step. It’s going to take a whole culture shift from the very top down to address the years of underachievement and acceptance of it. To say the fans had given up or accepted it, seems a little unfair as what more can a fan do but hope the club finally gets it right.

There has been so many false dawns that it’s hard to see the positives sometimes. But yeah we can all demand better, it won’t change anything though until the ownership address the culture.

I don`t disagree, I also don`t forget the days when we`d field weakened sides in the cups, even before we were relegation threatened, this shouldn`t be allowed when he have had the most barren 40 years in the clubs history....

The loser culture allowed to run right through the club needs addressing, I`m not holding much hope that TFG will do that any time soon, we are still waiting for our permanent CEO and board members, we are still in the position where we have a temporary board...

In the last 40 years we have gone light years ahead of Everton, to a point Everton will never catch us in any respect..... you are now years behind the likes of Villa, Newcastle, Brighton, Bournemouth, Brentford, Fulham & Forest and all of them were in the Championship in the last decade! As a raging red constantly making snide posts on GOT, I am loving it! YMCA

Why are you telling people how they should react whilst simultaneously trying to predict the future?
