2024/25 Jack Harrison

Great off the bench today. Looks like Moyes has told him to focus on getting half a yard and whipping balls into the box, exactly what Jack needs to be doing as he’s good at it. Feel like Dyche sucked the life out of him.
It's almost as if Moyes is looking at square holes and putting square pegs. Harrison is not a great player at all, yet Dyche had him and others doing odd things.

You only need to look at the improvement from Lindstrom et al., to surmise that the tactical ineptitude of the dinosaur limited their effectiveness.

He was better, but let's not get carried away, yes put some decent balls in but also completely wasted opportunities when in good positions to also relieve the pressure on Bournemouth when we were ramping it up
He’s not good enough for where we want to get to. Players like Semenyo are what we need. Strong, pacy and and effective. He did better yesterday and a few more cameos like that would be welcome. Think most of our players are not great at ball retention tbh barring Ndiaye.

Would he not be more effective on the left side since he is so dependent on his left foot. When out on the right and he cuts back to cross with his left foot it means the ball in is always curling away from our players towards the goal making it harder for them to connect with the ball.

Funny how wingers are now almost always played on the opposite flank to what their favoured foot is. It’s all about cutting inside and shooting these days, rather than getting to the byline and crossing.

Harrison can’t do either tbh, so I don’t actually think it matters.

He's been abject this season, but I'd start him on Wed.
Played well against them last season.
Looked like he'd got bit of confidence back yday.
I don't fancy Lindstrom & O'Brien down that side against them.
Might live to regret saying this.

Utter crap.

Played ok the weekend once Bournemouth had taken off half there team and had decided to just sit back deep. Twice they went forward his side and created two clear chances easily.

It’s a low bar but he certainly looked better at the weekend . I’ve no idea if it’s a flash in the pan but Harrison strikes me as a ‘Moyes type ‘ player of the past so I can imagine him being a useful option for the manager .

Good luck to the lad and let’s hope he can show us a lot more , that said it wouldn’t be a huge surprise if that was his highlight of the season .
