New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

No chance of this happening of course, nor should it, but I almost wish we’d delay this for a year so that the last season at Goodison isn’t so miserable
Most of us know that following Everton is like choosing to be miserable. We have been miserable long enough at Goodison, the sooner we move to BMD the better, so we can be miserable in a shiny new stadium with sod all transport links that can cope with 53,000 every other weekend.

There`s very little room to put a new station any where south of Sandhills. Best solution for getting folks back into town after the match would be to have buses ready on Regents road to run folks back to Paradise street.
Loads of room at Love Lane but that's as far a walk as Sandhills. Regardless an extra station on the same line in between Sandhills & Moorfields doesn't really shift people any quicker than Sandhills alone.

If I want to shoot off currently at goodison I get one of the many busses to lime st. (I remember a while back they only had one!).

If they're still providing this service with the reduction in traffic, and provided points of pick up or drop off - why hasn't this been communicated?

Having scruffy Rotherham just show some cattle farm outside of Sandhills really makes me concerned even more who's working for LCC.

Logically you could direct southbound fans to the new *Vauxhall* station (this has been in the pipeline well before the new ground came about) and northbound fans could be directed to Sandhills (and possibly Bankhall).

There's no logic with our transport leaders.

That's not entirely correct due to the nature of Sandhill station, and its island platform, where have two platforms feeding from one access stairs and lift etc.

This reduces the capacity available to waiting on the platform and increases the risk of congestion: each of Kirkdale's platforms are similar width to Sandhill's.

Currently, you have three stations distributing passenger numbers (add Bank Hall), so you also reduce the flow of passengers in one direction to the station.

As I've said before, the projected waiting times for a train have increased dramatically, so there will be an impact. Another station would alleviate this!

As @Davideeyore said, you would get a natural flow of passengers in different directions, and potentially double the amount of platform space available.

I raised a point yesterday about the extra station and have read a few comments about splitting them north and south.

What happens to none match going public.

Let’s say Sandhills is southbound, but somebody needs to use the station to go northbound. They can’t and get told to walk to the new station or Kirkdale/Bank Hall. Why it’s not their fault. Also does the train going northbound even stop at Sandhills now, what if you need to get off? “Sorry you’ve got to get off at a station before or after.”

The world doesn’t revolve around footy. Life still goes on. Look how many people use the trains now on a match day that haven’t got the slightest bit of interest in it. There’d be murder.
