Honestly I think it’s been agreed, but under the condition that we are in the premier league. It will be announced in the summer I would say.
That, plus a clearer and better PSR position, will start the process really rolling. I would much rather have these guys have things all lined up beforehand than have a scattergun approach.

You have taken a headline written by a journalist and used it as a stick with which to beat a group who didn’t write that headline? Getting more pathetic by the day aren’t you?
Well done. Unbelievable how many times you're completely wrong about everything.

My comment was about the client journalist and his craven reporting...one of a number of media whores TFG will have got on board to make it look like they're doing something useful rather than buying players...or getting their arses over here and identifying with the club like they do Roma.

If Paul Barber was definitely coming here wouldnt Brighton have put him on leave?

They have their own planning to do. I couldn't see him being in situ there if Tony Bloom knows he was joining us. He is Vice Chairman there in addition to being CEO.

He signed a contract I think last season for 6-7 years on record that he plans to retire at the end of it.

Not sayings it's impossible, and it would be a great choice, but it's take some selling by TFG to pride him away having previously turned down both LFC and ManUtd in the recent past.

Everton banked a colossal £132.2m from TV and commercial money last season
Finance Expert Kieran Maguire has revealed the Premier League data showcasing the Toffees earning a staggering £132.2million from TV and commercial money last season.

The breakdown has also been revealed with £55.7million equally shared among all 20 clubs and the rest was split based on a number of factors.

I'll believe it when I see it, and even if so I'll see how we spend that money. We have got one almighty overhaul required.

But.... if it is true, it does show what a massive impact the upturn in form under Moyes seems to have had. Already seeing the knock on impact, in a good way.

Providing we don't lose 10 in a row, I guess.

They were always spending big this Summer.

We will all have own ideas what that means, but I personally think only the cat will be unhappy with the backing we receive this summer.

Anyone got access to this?
While Everton ideally wanted a minimum of two incomings there was disruption to the club’s planning when Sean Dyche left, with Moyes wanting influence over any incomings and a mid-window redrawing of priorities. That meant Kevin Thelwell-led deals for the likes of Lyon winger Ernest Nuamah were ultimately mothballed as Everton chose to keep their powder dry. There were funds available but spending big in January would have necessitated sales before 30 June.

The i Paper understands that the club walked away from a move for West Brom’s Tom Fellows – a player admired by Moyes and also on Thelwell’s watchlist – because the price quoted was too high. Everton are unlikely to revive that interest in the close season.

Insiders say with a new accounting year kicking in by 1 July, financial restructuring of debts and “significant” PSR headroom, the club’s position will be much stronger as they look to restructure a squad that will lose up to 12 players in the summer.
