He's becoming so emo at this point, I just envision him writing angsty poetry while sitting on a gravestone in his local cemetery

25 years in the case of a couple of friends of mine. His directions technique for taxi drivers is perfect, if they don't understand, say it louder (shout).
Sadly, this is the case with Brits in many countries... embarrassing and rude actually. In the countries I have lived and worked in I have always made an effort and dOne OK

You can communicate quite a lot without words, especially in Sport. The struggle will be the tactics I suspect - but he will know enough from Southampton & Moyes will know enough from Spain to be able to manage.

I imagine the harder thing will be the day to day stuff and not hearing Spanish at all. I assume the club will get him a liaison.
He probably knows enough but not enough for a TV interview or is not confident

The downside is they've wasted a lot of money on finding out what the rest of us can see via his time at S'ton and his stats.

He's a Championship player.
"what the rest of us can see".... speak for yourself, no for "us". And I bet Moyes can certainly see more than you or any of us...

Not that it matters, but a lot of websites say Charly is 5'9", and I've seen some folks post that here as well. Transfermarkt has him at 6', and that matches the photos, both past and present. He's clearly more than half a head taller than Messi, and about the same height as Doucouré, whom he may replace behind the striker.

Not keen on a mandatory purchase based on starts tbh. Could tie us in a bit of a knot towards the end of the season if he’s putting in 6 out of 10 performances. (Which I expect tbh)
