Moyes may have a bit of Spanish, wasn't he manager at Sociedad - though not sure if he would have picked Spanish or Basque or both.

...I've seen his youtubes...the word 'brilliant' doesn't spring to mind, tbf.
I remember him at Southampton, looked a talent!
Think hes going to surprise a few, same as Illy has.
I cant see the point of him. No way he's retained in the summer and we're safe pretty much now.
The January window should have seen at least one or two cash signings for players with a big future with us and on long contracts.
The summer window is going to be utterly chaotic with a lot of mistakes being made over a lot of players. That's my guess.
The downside is they've wasted a lot of money on finding out what the rest of us can see via his time at S'ton and his stats.Young player, high ceiling and we need an alternative to Doucoure in the Hybrid 10 role. Like Arteta, get him acclimatise him, get a look at him, then sign him if hes a bit of a beast - kicking the tyre exercise and we have every option going on him, no point paying money when we dont have to.
Dont see the downside if im being honest.

He's a Championship player.
Hardly wasted money if there’s no loan fee and we are in full control on if the buy obligation is triggered. In fact this is one of the lowest risk deals I can remember Everton making recently. The downside is they've wasted a lot of money on finding out what the rest of us can see via his time at S'ton and his stats.

I doubt that very much.Hardly wasted money if there’s no loan fee and we are in full control on if the buy obligation is triggered. In fact this is one of the lowest risk deals I can remember Everton making recently.
Dave you spent the entire window being emphatic about the need for Jan signings, now this promising player with premier league experience who has distinguished himself as possesing a degree of quality to his game, is deemed a wasted transfer. There's an option to buy its not a straight loan , it's actually a shrewd move by the club. I think you just enjoy a good gripe at this pointI cant see the point of him. Clown shout. The downside is they've wasted a lot of money on finding out what the rest of us can see via his time at S'ton and his stats.

This isn't the Patterson thread yanoThe downside is they've wasted a lot of money on finding out what the rest of us can see via his time at S'ton and his stats.

Did you at least watch him play once or is this some Patterson pre ordained bias? Because most people who watched Southampton the year they were relegated stated he was impressive as he was on another level compared to the rest of the team, being one of their best playersThe downside is they've wasted a lot of money on finding out what the rest of us can see via his time at S'ton and his stats.

Fella is in a death spiral, ive been there, everything is rubbish, everybody is out to get you.Dave you spent the entire window being emphatic about the need for Jan signings, now this promising player with premier league experience who has distinguished himself as possesing a degree of quality to his game, is deemed a wasted transfer. He's becoming so emo at this point, I just envision him writing angsty poetry while sitting on a gravestone in his local cemeteryFella is in a death spiral, ive been there, everything is rubbish, everybody is out to get you.
He just needs to take a step back and realise that the world isnt rainbows and unicorns and you just need to enjoy the joys life throws at you, of which there are many.
