Very happy with this signing, really looks the part in the clips I've seen but the proof will be in the pudding.

I do believe he will be a hit and he will sign permanently. Here's hoping that we've now got at least half of our front four sorted for next season in Alcaraz and Ndiaye. Beto will have a run of games to try and make the centre forward position his own, as as much as I like him, I suspect we will still try and recruit a first-choice striker. Right wing is obviously a position we will have to go to the market for.

You Tube makes him look like a young Gazza.

Nah, criticism at first glance would be that he favours his right foot too much and his end product is erratic. He does seem to have a good burst of speed, a nice low centre of gravity and be able to carry the ball well. His output in the final third looks mixed I would say. Certainly above what we see from Doucoure, but there's scope for frustration there I'd say.

I saw him play a couple of times for Saints. One of those players who are capable of producing something special but can go missing at times.

He was more loved by the Saints fans than by various coaches. Has been very ordinary for several clubs (stats wise) now. It will be interesting where and how Moyes decides to use him.

….probably triggers the obligation to buy in the Summer.
The official site has it as "option" to buy although Flamengo official site said "obligation" 🤷‍♂️

Everton has signed Argentinian midfielder Carlos Alcaraz on loan from Flamengo for the rest of the 2024/25 campaign, with an option to buy at the end of the season.

Maybe that explains the delay?

…we had the Dele Alli farce with some posters actually thinking we’d play him the required number of games when it was clearly not going to be the case. I think this one is different, hopefully he plays the required games as it’ll be a sign that he’s an effective acquisition.

I have no idea about the details of the deal, whether it’s no of starts or no of appearances that triggers the permanent deal.
