How can you assume it's incompetence though when none of us know a single thing about this deal It's the very definition of bed wetting I'm afraid.

Id be thinking it's incompetence as it seems like we are putting all our eggs in one basket again. Seems we have done this in various windows in the recent past

Sounding very much like Flamengo tweeted out early purposely in order to ramp up pressure. I'm glad we're being careful, the days of agents and clubs taking us for ride have to stop.

Since a deal sheet has gone in it's highly likely we'll get it done. If not I wouldn't blame the club, blame the other side for being ridiculously awkward and brazen.

I have a suspicion they did exactly that.

Only thing we have done wrong is carrying on negotiating when either the selling club, player or agent is clearly psychotic. In this case it looks like the club as the player was unaware. We do get involved in this sort of crap, like the endless Gnonto chasing. Guess we have to take risks with our budget dealing with maniacs. We have made a good few players refuse to train recently and didn’t end up signing any of them.

Think this one will all work out fine though. Hopefully prove to be a shrewd bit of business.
