Everton January 2025 Transfer Thread

Entered the transfer window needing at least 2 in; 2 more get season ending injuries...TFG allow 1 loan signing in.

Think about it - not so much in terms of what it means for the rest of this season, but in terms of what that implies for the summer.
100%

A few wins on the bounce and these chancers see it as an excuse to avoid spending a penny

What a bad sign that is

It's telling me.....nothing is happening.

Alcaraz and thats it.

Am content with that,More dosh for the summer window.

It’s a gamble, especially in central midfield.

We’ve got a returning Garner, 35 year old Gueye, and a half fit Iroegbunam who’s record in the team is 4 losses when he played with Gueye.

We can’t move Doucoure back, he can’t pass a ball. I’d have been fine if Mangala was still fit and it would be effectively him and Garner for the midfield dictator spot but if Garner pulls up tomorrow our midfield could start to look very very porous without any additions.

I am fine with just Beto. Would rather play there Ndiaye, Alcaraz, Keane or Doucoure if he goes down too than to buy/loan a player for a stupid fee. We really need to prepare and scout for this summer than to panic spend on players we probably don't really want to have.

We’ve made a habit out of panicking and spending money on dross. Then it biting us in future windows too

3 wins on the spin has massively reduced that need to panic
Yeah I don’t think there’s currently any need for stopgaps.

If there’s no deals there and the players available don’t go into our starting 11, keep our powder dry until summer imo.

I am ok with no more personally. Its important we get the right people in now and if they are not available in Jan then we wait. We will stroll to safety now so no real panic is there
