It might be unpleasant reading but let's not pretend that Young wasn't one of our best players this season pre-Moyes. However, JOB's done really well since being given a chance and needs to play from now on.
Agreed. Let’s also not forget Dyche picked (another) old mate in Keane above Jake for months too. There were several options for Jake to start where he selected Keane and we surrendered most of August and September as a result.

Thank goodness he is gone.

Been good since Moyes came in. I can’t believe, well actually I can, that Dyche didn’t fancy him, but the logic was ridiculous. To describe someone that was starting in a team that qualified for the Europa League and played against someone like Mbappe, as not Premier League ready, was complete nonsense. In the few games he’s had, he’s shown he’s up to it and could become an important part of the defence over the next few seasons

He display him. He played him at CB and rightly saw he was too raw for that position at this stage of his PL career.

Moyes has correctly played him at RB instead and he's capable of that without being exposed to making a fata error at the heart of defence.
Yet Sean preferred a 39 year old rb and then use a useless left footed player in rm to protect and cover for him?

Master class

I didnlt say he was a great manager. That's not the issue here - managerial talent and whether he should still be here.

The issue is handing him credit / withholding credit for what he did do.

That's not the reason Moyes gave though
He said it was because there were two solid CBs in partnership in the centre but he wanted to get him into the team
It just shows Moyes thinks more creatively than Dyche

The performances of this lad and the rest of the team show how out of touch and finished Dyche was.

Jake’s also a fine example of why we should see all players get a chance in the team before we trust a manager, or the assertion that they clearly aren’t good enough/dyche sees them in training/crap nonsense.

Got so bored of people saying Jake, and others, clearly weren’t good enough when they never even got a kick.

Would love his fanboys to admit how bad Dyche actually was, but they seem to be waiting for us to slip up so they can fly back in with the I told you sos - bore off.

JOB was quality again yesterday, looks a calm as a cucumber both on the ball and defending, very branthwaite-eaqe.

Would love to see him do a Degsy Mount style towering header against the rs for his first goal.

You wanted him to stay dave …. There is no way you can you can say we would have scored 8 goals in our last 3 games and picked up 9 points if he did ….

We would have been in the relegation zone or maybe a point or two outside it … we’d be in deep trouble ….

Moyes coming in ( so far ) was a great decision … just make peace with it and admit that you were wrong

An acceptable decision in terms of getting safe with more to spare than we would have under Dyche.

An unacceptable decision in terms of the moral fibre of this club.

You’re talking like it was a given that Dyche would have kept us up dave … that’s simply not the case …

Not sure all the focus on O'Brien is a good thing.

Moyes in his press conference was asked about him and I notice that those two on ToffeeTV were devoting a huge anmounts of time to him.

He's got two stiff tests coming up soon; we'll see where we are after those games. Too much expectation mounting on the lad.
