2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

Not my fault you’re too one eyed to see the difference. A top manager like Moyes can though, and recognises it. As I said, no class, but it’s not surprising, you were one of the few people in here absolutely gutted when we beat Brighton, gutted when we stayed up v Bournemouth, and very quiet when we beat Liverpool, because ultimately you wanted to be right about Sean Dyche rather than see Everton do well. No class whatsoever.

It’s a shame Dyche couldn’t show the class Moyes did towards his predecessor, instead of belittling and slandering him to protect his own reputation for the best part of 2 years.

He slandered Lampard? When?

He did nothing but talk about how bad we were before he got here. He was still doing it 2 years on. You’re obviously going to pretend that wasn’t a dig at the former manager now, because you have decided you like Dyche and that wouldn’t fit your narrative.

I think you need to look up the definition of ‘slander’

Find me the quote where he’s slandering Lampard seeing as you’ve accused him of it.

Tried to make leaving Goodison the most miserable experience possible. Constantly belittling it and talking down the club. That's his legacy.

His legacy is keeping Everton in the premier league whilst we sold our best players for a transfer profit, incurred two points deductions, and changed ownership.

That’s his legacy whether his critics like it or not.

It’s a shame he couldn’t act with the same class of Moyes. Even though I have mild second hand embarrassment for him that Moyes is having to act as his PR man and head pat him to try and change public perception back in his favour.

So no evidence for slandering Lampard then? Just something you made up.

Sorry mate if this is your last remaining argument, to turn into dictionary.com and try and pick apart definitions of specific words then I think it’s safe to say you’ve ran out of road on this one.

Can we go back to debating how many draws are equivalent to 3 wins on the bounce now?

So he didn’t slander Lampard, thankyou for admitting your error.

Sadly he did deflect from his own poor performances by constantly referencing how bad things were under Lampard in order to look after his own reputation though. If only he could’ve shown some of the class that Moyes has shown, who could’ve reasonably acted in the same way as him if he’d been so inclined.

We'd lost something like 11 in 14 and sat on our lowest ever points total going into Feb when Dyche rocked up. He won the first couple too - Arsenal and Leeds.

It happens. New voice. New manager bounce is very real. Even Van Nistelrooy had some at Leicester.

I expected a big lift from Dyche, a team of young millionaires doing the hard hards, nuts and bolts etc. See Burnley after he left.

Villa was disappointing given their away form going into it. I expected us to beat Spurs and Leicester given their defence/woeful form. The win at Brighton was good but fancied us there given how well we do at their ground and they're not at it either.

But you can only beat who you face and we've done that. Brilliant.

Moyes isn't soft, he knows this team is is what it is - hence continually talking Dyche up, saying after Villa it's not about him, it's the players. Saying the issue at Everton for years hasn't been the manager and remarkable the club stayed a Prem team. Hes saying all this because he knows form an results will turn. Hopefully we've got a bit more in us.

Tell Moyes he has to sell more than he buys every window for 2 years, and sign players for 0 upfront though - and point deductions are coming next season and I think he'd struggle big time. The wheels would come off for him too.

Dyche did what we needed him to do. Kept us up. Kept our heads above water until new owners. I'm very grateful for that.

I fancied us against Southampton, West Ham, Brentford with a man advantage, Leicester away, Bournemouth from 2 up in the 87th minute and Fulham at home. Ah well.

His legacy is utter turgid football and never taking and responsibility for anything during his time here

Counterargument.

He was arrogant.
He was pig headed.
He hated us (except Dave)
He had only one way to play; defend.
He had only one way (in the main) to attack - kick and charge.
He always thought he was doing us a favour.
The football for the time he was here was dour and rubbish.
He was paid a king's ransom for subjecting us to that rubbish and then then wanting to be lauded for it.

Thank You
