Everton January 2025 Transfer Thread

That will have dropped significantly with Duran’s sale even with the addition of half a season of £350k per week for Rashford and their other recruits. They also sold Philogene for £20m so that’s £90m on the revenue line for this FY plus any other outgoing business they may have done or may do e.g. Watkins
I know it would have dropped this season, and they will have revenue increase from champions league. But it shows how hard it is to break that top 4 ceiling and remain there.

I cant see any drive for transfer now.

Relegation is pretty much avoided.

That doesn't mean they shouldn't snap up a player who is available who can slot in and bed in before next season though.

There's absolutely no reason to take the foot of the gas transfer activity-wise.

TFG should be spending out...if they dont it'll be even more grist to the mill that Moyes is short term if they just hand him a loan signing this January.

If that happens Ilm going to be about 75% sure Moyes is out by June.

Seen the details mate, West Ham losing with no option

Basically if he does great no chance West Ham can sign him, they've basically given Brighton a chance to drive his price up in the summer
Yeah that’s definitely a good deal for Brighton if West Ham have got so desperate they haven’t even got an option.

Kinda works for us I guess because we can have a look at his form and fitness and still have a crack at him in the summer if both look ok although he’ll not be cheap. Even if West Ham want to keep him a few months playing at the London Stadium might have him considering other options.

I also am not too sure how long potter will last there mate either, can very easily see west ham losing their next three

It all depends on how long they are prepared to give him to do his thing. He would do well there over time imo but hammers fans are some of the most twitchy fans around (apart from Spurs) and they will soon start moaning if they go on a poor run of a couple of games but Potter is the guy who can give them the attacking football they crave for so much.

He's good but those wages seem crazy.
Was he ever a player worth commanding those kind of wages?
Not for me anyway.
Those huge wages are probably the reason he's not that motivated anymore, he's very very rich now and his attitude and application have dropped off a cliff.

The sooner regulation or wage caps are brought in the better. Nobody is worth £350k a week, not even a fraction of it. Greed.
