Yeah tbh the next week or so will be the moment for some, cup game followed by the last home derby, gets results in both of those then think there'll be very little doubters left.
For me just the performances and the approach/set up is night and day.

A defeat against Liverpool wont change a thing, they are a far superior team than us in all departments. That's not to say we cant beat them.

I said to my mate if we approach the each game the way we have so far, we will win far more games than we lose and that's without a single new player coming in.

I think what we are seeing now is not Moyes doing anything special he is just being a PL manager and giving the team some tactics confidence and guidance.
We are so much more comfortable on the ball
We are playing more 'risky' passes in midfield that actually reap huge rewards, (Gana yesterday for Garner for Betos goal and Gana to Ndiaye against Spurs)
We are avoiding playing it back to Pickford
We are passing the ball with more zip and quicker

All the very basics of any standard of football.

I didn’t necessarily want Moyes back, I just wanted rid of the Burnley fraud as I knew the players were far better than what they were being told to produce under his and his hairless sidekicks cowardice and lack of any conceivable progressive coaching.
Absolutely incredible what an actual gameplan and positive coaching can do to players that some of you had been brainwashed into thinking were on a par with the Southampton squad. Moyes has a look in his first game and within 65 minutes has perma-benched Young and Harrison and brought in a criminally underused player who can actually play football and is able to run in OBrien unlike grandad Ashley and as if by magic we look transformed.

I put it to you sir, that our previous manager (whose scrotum you can still seemingly taste) said much more derogatory things towards Everton whilst still employed at the club, than Moyes did at any point when he was elsewhere, and which comments he has already walked back on several occasions. One is an Evertonian, the other isn’t. But anyway, you are quite obviously on the wind up, so here’s that attention you wanted.

No he didn't...unless he...

  • told our fans they were a disgrace for opposing Kenwright
  • told us all we were better handing over our players to him at United for the benefit of the players
  • kept our greatest ever Evertonian out of the club training facilities

...none of which Dyche did or ever would think of doing, but Moyes DID do.

Cheer up Dave, we won again yesterday.

No ones more happy than me.

That doesn't mean I ever forget what Moyes did last time around.

You see, it;s possible to have those two emotions at the one time.

The embarrassment of a lot of our fans yesterday singing his name a decade after screaming at him what a ginger get he was and that he's "getting sacked in the morning".

Absolutely cringeworthy.

Yeah sounds like it.

Do you think you'll get any bites today, Chic's?

I think you might be on cue for a mighty haul, come day's end... 😜

Forget Dyche he was just a poor manager but the points you’ve listed are all valid ones and we’re all enough to not appoint him. The league is poor and any decent manager keeps us up imo. Right now my view is still that we don’t want Moyes past the end of this season. His football and his ceiling are limited, on what he can achieve. When push comes to shove he’s still too cautious and doesn’t trust young players. For now he’s doing a good job.

I had a pint Fox yesterday and he’s of the exact same opinion as you pal.

Quotes ended up backwards.. Never mind.... I have to say I agree with Dave here, I remember being furious when Moyes claimed Everton were holding back the careers of Fellaini and Baines after they offered an extreamly lowball figure for both probably under Moyes instruction as he knew we were skint. I've moved on I now believe that Moyes is the right man now to steady the ship for a couple of years and I'm happy that it will be him to lead us out into our new ground as a PL club.

100% this.

I hope it's a case at the end of the season of "Thanks for stepping in, now move aside for our long term manager" from TFG.
