Erm, I accept that 98.7% of people on here know more about footy matters than I do, but I'd hazard a guess at the reasons why buying a top striker in January being highly unlikely might include:Why can’t we ?
Plenty of time.
….had to laugh yesterday when Mike genuinely blamed Dyche for the DCL and Mangala injuries![]()
After those 2 injuries yesterday maybe it’s a good thing we haven’t spaffed all our dough on full backs already. We will get players in but lots of teams need exactly what we need so we won’t be first choice and we need good players so others will be in for them. It was always going to be signings towards the end of the window, it also saves paying wages…
Think his brother played for RS. Good player, can't think of his name oft top of my headNot sure about Bayern. But he did used to play for Barcelona. One poster in particular said he was Barcelona’s best player and up for the Ballon D’or so it’s quite clear that they got him confused with Raphinha.
The one I suggested is a free agent…
A whole 8 days.

I blamed him for our players being unfit, because I think they are unfit![]()
Erm, I accept that 98.7% of people on here know more about footy matters than I do, but I'd hazard a guess at the reasons why buying a top striker in January being highly unlikely might include:
* They'd rather sign for a top Club than a relegation-threatened one.
* If they're surplus at a top club, they won't want to take a step down in status or salary.
* Any club currently challenging for anything/struggling won't want to sell their top striker.
* Any top striker at a non-challenging club might attract the eye of top/rich ones.
* We haven't got a shi......er, barrow load of money to spend on a top guy.
There are probably more reasons that that, but I've had a couple of vodkas on an empty stomach, so my head isn't currently at peak efficiency.
I realise that there's always a chance of an unexpected bargain, or spotting a lower league gem that everyone else has missed, but I think they're fairly long odds. Fingers firmly crossed for us finding top quality, though.
it's absolutely true though. Moyes is not a decisive manager.
Your opinions are a joke.
Say what you like it was not me that gave him this title but it is true whether you like it or not.mate your are obsessed with this
At least I’m not a sectarian danger.
Well, I did say we could hope for a swoop for an hitherto undiscovered or suddenly surplus top class guy. No point in being delusionally optimistic, though. Maybe someone half way decent and someone to feed him passes/crosses is a better way forward, anyway. Glasshalffully regards.thought your name was glass half full….
