The Now-Irrelevant 2024/25 Relegation Battle (Without Everton!)

That Leicester game next week really looks like a real banana skin type game. Been seeing it for years and years. When we go into a home game we are expected to win we get done. They have players who love to score against us too like vardy, ayew. Would much prefer a Brentford or Fulham at home than Leicester at home

Such is the level of discourse nowadays too, I imagine people will then go "oh so you think they'll finish above us then". Terrible straw man argument.

No, but we are not in a position yet to be taking things for granted.

Relegation zone is still the same number of points away as it was before the game. First result in weeks that hasn’t gone our way. Shame but not sure there’s any need to panic at this point, still nearly half a season left to play yet.

Also just goes to show what a nonsense the whole Opta stuff is. Was something like 90 95% chance of them going down; day later they're 17th.
I think that looks at the potential difficulty of the games remaining although in the end, it’s all about what happens in the actual games rather than on paper.

Win next week, we're potentially 9 clear and above Spurs. Is a win today for Leicester ideal? Not really, but we should still be beating them regardless which would put us in a good position. Spurs in their current form are the ones who should be more worried about relegation, they look like a side who are just strolling their way into it.
