Yes, it was a refreshing blast, as Prog Rock had become too precious and pretentious.

I was a regular at Eric's and saw most of the major Punk bands.

Fun times, but I don't think the majority of the actual music has aged well. ( Aside from some of the Clash output)

I see men and women in their 60's (ex Mods) and they still look cool.

60 year old punks look a bit creepy and ridiculous.

Really jealous about you going to Eric’s, I was just too young for that

I look at those flyers nowadays and I would have gone to around 90% of those gigs, as most of my favourite bands played for like £1 admission or something - Talking Heads, Gang Of Four, The Slits, The Pop Group etc etc

Personally I think these ‘post punk’ bands still sound great
