I get the frustrations and wariness regarding whether signings will be incoming, has been fostered from the kenwright and moshiri reigns. At the same time I don't know what people expected from a club that has been a perennial relegation battler , has limitations on it's spending, has already utilized the loan system extensively and had a recent managerial change where the tactical philosophies contrasted, so recruitment targets might be altered . I still expect signings to occur but you can't expect quality additions in January without some time expended otherwise you get a crap player you're saddled with , probably not playing anyways. look at injury depleted teams with ambitious standards heaped on them like spurs and bournemouth I think they've signed one player each , so it's not like everyone is just acquiring ample players and we're doing nothing , as I stated I know our squad needs to be refined and have expectations myself that signings are provided but I do get it's not a magical and immediate process.

We are clearly looking and making enquiries. Moyes is notorious for mulling over signings, we are hedging to manage resources tightly.

Also, last minute does not necessarily mean poor quality.

Hello!

Someone like him in the middle with Tim and Garner either side is what I'm hoping for going forward. Moyes would be the type of coach to harden up this type of midfield without losing the attacking potential.

I’m glad we can actually pick up transfers in January without PSR looming over us. Not sure who everyone expects we can get. We’ll get a few players but likely not real sexy pick ups. I think people log in here every day expecting to see ‘recently binned Bellingham and Vinicius transfer free of charge to Everton after begging to be set free. In addition, dissatisfied Haaland and Salah paid out of their own pockets to be released from their clubs in order to boost Everton in the January transfer window.’

No we dont. But we expect the minimum to address possible squad fraulties. Ie a striker in lieu of Broja. Or is Beto going to score goals? We expect a midfielder who can create chances and score a few goals. That’s not being unrealistic or are we going back to the halycon days of Kenwright and zero ambition.
